OWER, Janet Frances (née HUCKVALE)
Passed away at her home in Oakville, following a lengthy illness, on Monday, November 26, 2007. An innovative teacher and pioneer of special needs education for children with the North York Board of Education, Janet was the beloved wife of Bill OWER; loving mother of Philip; and of Cameron and his wife Margaret. Sadly missed by her grandchildren Alison, Emily and Jennifer; and by her sister Barbara. Fondly remembered by her relatives and Friends in Canada and Great Britain. Family will receive visitors in the Ward Funeral Home, 109 Reynolds Street, Oakville (905-844-3221) on Thursday from 7-9 p.m. Cremation to follow. A Celebration of Janet's life will be held in the Ward Chapel on Friday, November 30, 2007, at 2 p.m. If you wish, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation and condolences may be sent to janet.ower@wardfh.com

Brian and Gillian are pleased to announce the arrival of Malcolm Arthur Christopher Torrie on August 24, 2007 weighing 8 lbs, 6 oz. A little brother for Ross and Alice. Mac is the 3rd grandchild for Christopher and Gay CAMPBELL and the 19th for Leta TORRIE. Thanks to Aunt Susan and Cousin Laura for their help in welcoming him into the world. Thanks also to Midwife Wendy HUCULAK for her guidance.

WILLIAMSON, Carol Ann, B.Sc., LLB
(May 14, 1938-November 22, 2007)
Carol's family is sad to announce her recent passing in Victoria, British Columbia. Carol was raised in Edmonton. She was an intelligent and independent woman who succeeded at many careers, including florist and medical lab technician, prior to finding her calling at law. As a lawyer, she worked for the Federal Department of Justice in Edmonton, Winnipeg and Ottawa, as well as for Teleglobe Canada, and in private practice in Kingston, Ontario. She excelled at her career until her retirement to Westport, Ontario. in 1994. Carol was predeceased in 2002 by her loving husband Col. Jim FLEMING/FLEMMING with whom she enjoyed 20 years happiness. She was also predeceased by her parents, Ruth and Harold (Jeff). Carol leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters, Bev WAHL (Jim HUCULAK,) of Redcliff, Alberta, and Angelee ZON (Dwayne,) of Edmonton, Alberta; Six grandchildren; One sister, Barbara FUDGE (Ed) of Courtenay, British Columbia; One brother, Stafford Glen WILLIAMSON (Maggie) of Phoenix, Arizona; And her stepmother Ruby WILLIAMSON of Summerland, British Columbia. A celebration of Carol's life will be held in early January at Cobble Hill, British Columbia with the date to be announced.
