HEY, Catherine Isobel Mabel (ne MCINNES/MCINNIS)
At her home in Goderich on January 1, 2007. Catherine Isobel Mabel (MCINNES/MCINNIS) HEY in her 74th year. Survived by loving husband Victor Charles HEY. Cherished and much loved mother of Paul John HEY and wife Carol Ann of Seaforth. Special aunt of Bill KIRKPATRICK and friend Kerry FARRELL of Amestburg and Jack and Lois KIRKPATRICK of Kincardine and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John and Catherine MCINNES/MCINNIS, sisters Enid, Mabel and Florence and her husband James KIRKPATRICK. Friends will be received at McCallum and Palla Funeral Home, Cambria Road, at East Street, Goderich on Thursday January 4, 2007 from 3 p.m. until the time of service at 4 p.m. Interment Maitland Cemetery. HEYWORTH, Peter Lorriman
Died at home in Toronto on January 4th 2007 after a brief battle with leukemia. Peter was born in his beloved Cumbria, United Kingdom to parents Helen and George, and was brother to Betty, John, Eileen, Patricia and Wendy, husband to Elspeth Moulton HEYWORTH (d 1990) and Christine DUNBAR, step-father to Zo, step-father-in-law to Gavin and father-in-law to Martha. Peter was Emeritus Professor of English Literature at University of Toronto (University College) for over 30 years, was co-founder with his wife Christine of a successful and much loved independent bookstore, and enjoyed as much time as possible at his homes in Oxfordshire (U.K.), Grey County (Ontario), and with his treasured books. He is survived by sons Justin and Tobias and daughter Felicity. A memorial service will be held on Thursday January 11th at 11 a.m. at the Knox College Chapel, U of T. Reception to follow at the Croft Chapter House (U of T). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Dixon Hall (http://www.dixonhall.org/) or to the U of T's Thomas Fisher Rare Book Library (http://www.library.utoronto.ca/fisher/).
