BENEDICT, Robert Charles
At the Elgin Abbey Nursing Home in Chesley on Friday, August 10, 2007. Bob BENEDICT, resident of Elgin Abbey and formerly of R.R.#4 Tara, in his 81st year. Beloved Husband of the late former Eleanor Jane MITCHELL. Dear father of Don and his spouse Joan EDWORTHY of Arkwright, Doris and her husband Ted HACK of Guelph and Jeff of Owen Sound. Brother of Lois and her husband George MAHON and Eleanor SPENCE. Predeceased by son Bill (1984) and brother Frank. Bob will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Lisa and her husband Jay EIDT, Keri BENEDICT, Angela HACK and her friend Chris BRATHWAITE, Kyle HACK and by great-grand_son Harrison EIDT. Also survived by sister-in-law Shirley and her husband Arnold DRAVES of Innisfil and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Paul H. Eagleson Funeral Home in Tara on Monday from 2: 00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Celebration of Bob's life will be held on Tuesday August 14, 2007 at 11: 00 a.m. Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery, Tara. BONYUN, Jean (formerly HACKER)
Passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday December 22nd, 2007 in her 91st year. Predeceased by her husband N. Stanley HACKER and by her second husband Denis F. BONYUN. Cherished mother of Fred HACKER and his wife Barb, and Bets LOBBAN and her husband Ray. Lovingly remembered by her six favourite grandchildren Kim HACKER, Kristen BAUMANN (Markus), Chris LOBBAN (Andrea,) Steve LOBBAN, Kate HACKER and Craig LOBBAN and her three favourite great-grandchildren Taylor and Cameron BAUMANN and Liam LOBBAN. Survived by her sister Evelyn BONNEY (Dr. Robert) and predeceased by her sister Mabel McMULLEN and her brother Grant CAMPBELL. Also predeceased by her step-mother-in-law (and friend) Mae HACKER. Fondly remembered by her many Friends and her nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be held at the Nicholls Funeral Home, 330 Midland Ave., Midland on Wednesday December 26th, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Thursday December 27th at Knox Presbyterian Church (539 Hugel Ave. Midland) at 11 a.m. If desired, donations to the Huronia Seniors Volunteer Care Team would be greatly appreciated. Everyone she touched will remember her love, vitality, faith, charity and compassion.

CHIDLEY, Raymond Leslie
Died peacefully September 26, 2007 at the Willowgrove Nursing home in Ancaster. Born September 18, 1924 in Toronto, Ontario where he attended Mimico High School. In 1943, Ray volunteered for service in the Royal Canadian Air Force and was proud of becoming a Pilot Officer Navigator before the end of World War 2. In 1950 Ray started working for Sifto Salt where he was employed for over 36 years until retirement. On October 19, 1956 Ray married Helen LEDOHOWSKI and they moved to their home on Pharmacy Ave, where sons Paul and David and daughter Sandra were raised. A life-long love of boating led Ray to become involved in the Canadian Power Squadron safe boating organization where he served as a Commander for the Frenchman's Bay squadron. Ray is pre-deceased by brothers George and Herbert and sister Alice Maud and loving wife Helen. Ray/Dad/Grandpa/Uncle Ray, will be fondly remembered by son Paul and wife Gail (WADSWORTH) and granddaughter Elizabeth of Calgary son David and wife Doreen (HACKL) and grand-children Sarah, Justin and Rachel of London; daughter Sandra (THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON) and husband David and grand-children Rebecca, Amanda and Matthew of Ancaster. Also by nieces and nephews from both sides of the family. Known for his good humour, warm smile and unselfish disposition he was a true gentleman. Ray will be sadly missed by his family and anyone who knew him. Family and Friends will celebrate Ray's life with a Memorial Celebration at the Saint_John's Great Hall, Friday, October 5, 2007 at 11: 00 a.m. 272 Wilson St. E, Ancaster, Ontario Reception / lunch to follow the gathering. Loved husband of Flora GALLIN and of the late Jean RUSSELL. Devoted father of Susan CLARK (David) of Ancona, Illinois; David BUCHANAN (Lorraine MAISONNEUVE) of Ottawa, Ontario; and Catherine GILHAM (Thomas) of Herndon, Virginia.
