FRAPPIER passed away peacefully at Credit Valley Hospital with
his family by his side on Saturday, November 10, 2007. Andy was

Oaks Memorial Chapel and Visitation Centre, 3164 Ninth Line,
Oakville (905-257-8822) from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. until
8 p.m. Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday, November 15, 2007
at 10 a.m. at Merciful Redeemer Parish, 2775 Erin Centre Blvd.

donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or to the Credit Valley

Tilbury from 1961 until 1983, and was Fire Chief of Tilbury from
1959 to 1992. Eugene was a member of Canadian Association of
Fire Chiefs, Ontario Fire Chiefs Association, and Ontario Retirees,
and was past president of Kent County Association of Fire Chiefs,
and Essex County Association of Fire Chiefs. He was a member
of Tilbury Knights of Columbus Third and Fourth Degree. Visitation

7-9 p.m., Sunday from 2-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. Parish prayers 3 p.m.

CAIRD
(GAULIN) on Saturday, July 28, 2007, after
a lengthy illness and courageous fight, passed peacefully in
her hometown of Napanee, Ontario. Carol commenced a successful
career in real estate in 1977 and entered business in Kingston,
Ontario as owner/operator of C. Caird Real Estate in 1982. Having
owned and operated five Re/Max offices in Kingston and area,
Carol was named Broker Owner of the Year in 1993. In 1996 Carol
joined in the launch of what would become Exit Realty International
with extensive operations in Canada and later in the United States.
She retired from Exit in 2003. Honoured to be one of the first
women invited to be a Rotarian in Canada, Carol has been a constant
supporter in Kingston and Napanee areas, being named a Paul Harris
Fellow. Carol's chosen charities are World Vision and the Salvation
Army. Survived by her spouse Dennis

Carol is missed by
five children, Dennis Lawrence Jr., of Napanee, Kelly Lynn (the
late Garry
McLEAN), Mary Beth, David Ross (Suzanne), of Ottawa,
Andrew Preston (Josie) of London, England, and five grandchildren,
Nicolas, Claudia, Talia, Gabrielle of Ottawa and Lawrence of
London, England. Carol is survived by brothers Terry (Helen)
of Calgary and Douglas (Roxanne) of Newburgh and predeceased
by sister Linda, brothers Dennis and Ricky

his passing on June 22, 2007 in Hamilton, Ontario after a brief
illness. Larry will be greatly missed by his wife Pamela (nee

was born in The Netherlands in 1941 and grew up in Groningen
and The Hague until immigrating to Canada with his parents, the
late Rev. Willem and Ekelina
LOOPSTRA in 1951. He obtained his
elementary and high school education in Hamilton, Ontario and
attended the University of Western Ontario in London between
1960 and 1966 with a degree in medicine. Larry interned at St.
Bonifice in Winnipeg, Manitoba and thereafter served 3 years
as a medical doctor with the Royal Canadian Air Force in Germany
pursuing his passion for medicine, travel, and skiing. On his
return to Canada, he completed his residency in Obstetrics and
Gynaecology and established his practice in Hamilton. Larry was
an accomplished surgeon, obstetrician and respected clinical
professor with the Hamilton Health Sciences Centre at McMaster
University, delivering thousands of newborns during his career,
as well as performing as a skilled surgeon. He pursued his career
with dedication, professionalism and caring, while at the same
time maintaining a balanced life style through family, church
and his new found love for golf. His loving, caring and selfless
nature shone through all his relationships (Galatians 5: 22-23).
Larry was an avid sailor who loved his boat Sonic Boom, winning
many Lake Ontario races. He last sailed his boat with his family
on June 10, 2007. Many thanks to Leslie

Passed away December 24th 2007 at home on Neilson Ave. Scarborough,
Ontario. In his 91st year. Leon was born in Amherst, Nova Scotia
on June 10th 1917. Predeceased by his father Dominique, his mother
Annee, Sister Lilian, and Brothers Jack and Emile. Leon is survived
by the love of his life Evelyn who he has been happily married
to since January 23rd 1943. Daughter Marie

Grandchildren Michelle, Samantha, Kyle, Jeremy, Justin, Jeffrey,
David, Theresa, Lisa Marie. Great-grandchildren Jacob, Mathew,
Emily and Natalie. And a large and loving extended family of
in-laws nieces and nephews. Leon spent most of his life in the
Toronto area where he met Evelyn
BALMAIN and fell in love. He
was a World War 2 veteran serving on numerous ships including
H.M.C.S. York, New Westminster, Edmunston, Avalon, New Glasgow,
Shelburne, and the Milltown as Chief Petty Officer. He was a
long time member of the Royal Canadian Legion branch 345. After
the war Leon worked many jobs as a machinist with the most time
spent at Lever Brothers Ltd. He was a man who could fix anything
and even to the end of his life confined to his bed he would
contemplate how to fix his own condition. Leon was a man of few
words but what he said was always worth hearing. He loved to
ski, fish, swim, golf, but most of all he loved to spend time
with his family. He enjoyed life and everyone he met was touched
by his sense of humour and caring for others. He taught us to
enjoy life no matter what it may bring explaining hardships as
' just one of those things.' He will be sadly missed and forever
remembered with love. The family will celebrate his life privately
and hold a memorial in the spring.
