BOLTON, Margaret Elizabeth (LIESEMER)
Went home to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 14th, 2007 at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Meaford in her 82nd year. The former Margaret LIESEMER was the beloved wife of the late George BOLTON. She was the loving mother of Joseph, Larry and his wife Linda, Rodger, Jean and her husband John RAWN and Laura and her husband Ernie GATCHELL. She will be fondly remembered by her 8 grandchildren and her 15 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by one grandchild and a brother Lloyd. Friends are invited to call at the Currie Funeral Home in Chatsworth for visitation on Monday afternoon and evening 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Thence to Saint_James Lutheran Church where the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday afternoon at 2 p.m. Pastor Harry HUFF will officiate. Interment: Saint_James Lutheran Cemetery. Passed away peacefully, after a brief illness, at Saint Mary's General Hospital, on Saturday, December 30, 2006, at age 88. Loving and devoted husband of Kathleen; devoted father of David and his wife Lynn, John and his wife Janice, Janice and her husband Andrew, and Patricia and her partner Jeff NICKEL; proud grandfather of David, Kelly, and Ryan McVEY, Jeffrey, Laura, and Robert McVEY, Emily, Kenneth, and Drew JACKSON, and Christina, Lauren, Michael, and Aaren GATCHENE; great-grandfather of Jacob, Marcus, and Lucas NELSON, and Caleb, Keegan, and Cynthia McVEY. Grant was predeceased by his parents, John and Myrtle McVEY of Erie, Pennsylvania. Grant was born June 18, 1918 in Winnipeg and has lived in Waterloo since 1965. He was a graduate of McMaster University and later retired from the staff of the University of Waterloo. His greatest joy was spending time with his family and took tremendous pride in the many accomplishments of his children and grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate Grant's life will be held in the chapel of the Erb and Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S., Waterloo on Wednesday, Jan 3, 2007 at 1 p.m. with Rev. Bernard Joseph MALONEY of Hanover, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, November 3, 2007 at the Grey Bruce Regional Health Centre, Owen Sound.
Beloved partner, companion and special friend of Isabelle GATEMAN of Hanover. Loved father of Cindy and her husband Terry DAVIDSON of Walkerton, Joe and his wife Laurie of Smithville and Myra and her husband Kevin SUMMERS of Hanover. Loving grandfather to Alicia and her husband Mike McINTYRE, Jamie, Jake and Scarlett DAVIDSON, Michaela, Tyler, Nikolas, Jason and Meaghan MALONEY, K.J., Colton, Bayden and Raina SUMMERS. Great-grandfather of Cody McINTYRE.
Survived by brothers and sisters Leonard (Anne) MALONEY, Kay FULLER, Jim (Carol) MALONEY, Betty JOYCE, Terry MALONEY, Donna MALONEY, Dan MALONEY and Debbie (Don) DWULIT. Will be sadly missed by Frankie MALONEY and her partner Steve SCOTT, several nieces and nephews, the 11th Ave. Crew and many dear Friends. Bernie was born March 21, 1940 in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. His family moved to the Hamilton area in the mid 1980s, where he and Isabelle ran a successful restaurant, "Isabelle's Takeout," for many years. Through the years he volunteered with Hanover Minor Hockey, the Hanover Barons C Hockey Team and the Hanover Legion. He has been actively involved in municipal, provincial and federal politics and loved to travel, walk, sing and enjoy the Friendship and conversations of family and Friends around his kitchen table. “He never met a stranger.&rdquo
A funeral service was held Wednesday, November 7, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Mighton Funeral Home, Hanover immediately followed by a celebration of his life at the Hanover Legion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Hanover and District Hospital Foundation or HARC Industries Incorporated.

With loving memories, the family announce the passing of Dorothy Margaret FISHER (LEPPARD) in her 88th year at Maple View Nursing Home on October 23rd, 2007. Dorothy was the beloved wife of Charles FISHER for 60 years. Mother to Faye FISHER and husband David GRAHLMAN, Sandra and Barry KEARNEY and Donna FISHER- POTTER and Tom POTTER. Proud Grandmother to eight grandchildren, Chris WEBBER (Amberley), Adam WEBBER, Kristina KEARNEY- RICHARDS (Mark), Colleen KEARNEY- JANSSENS (Jerry), Ryan EASTICK (Katherine), Kyle EASTICK (Jessica,) Graham and Garrett POTTER and great-granddaughter, Emma RICHARDS. MILLER, Mary (née MUNRO)
Mary MILLER died peacefully in her sleep in London, Ontario, on July 10, 2007, after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Dave, her husband of 57 years, was at her side. Mary was born on April 26, 1925, the fourth daughter of Scottish immigrants Jack and Dorothy MUNRO. Her parents, sisters Agnes, Jean and Dorothy and brother-in-law Donald FERGUSON all predeceased her. She is survived by her daughter Beth and her partner John MacLEOD, her daughter Katherine and her husband Reg GATENBY, her son John and his wife Deb MILLER, three grand_sons - David GROVES, Evan MILLER and Graeme MILLER, her brother-in-law Bernard O'CONNELL, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and their families and many devoted Friends. We will miss her greatly. Mary grew up in Montreal. After completing high school and working for the Royal Bank of Canada there, she studied nursing at the Montreal General Hospital. She married Dave after her graduation and moved with him to Ottawa and and then to London, Ontario, where they made their home for over fifty years. Although Mary will be cremated and interred in a private ceremony, we will hold a gathering for family and Friends later this summer in her memory. We will publish the details of Mary's memorial once our plans have been finalized. We would like to thank Doctor Archie GRACE, Doctor Bill McKEOUGH and 'Mary's Angels', the remarkable staff of the Palliative Care Unit at University Hospital, for their kindness, compassion and care. CATER, Sheila (née CURRY)
With her children at her side providing love and support, Sheila CATER (CURRY) of Point Edward lost her courageous battle with cancer at Bluewater Health -- Norman Site's Palliative Care Unit on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at the age of 66. Sheila will be remembered for her independent spirit, her love of Friends and family, her wonderful sense of humour, positive outlook and her selfless attitude when thinking of others. She was supported in her short fight by her many Friends and was determined to be a survivor. Sheila is lovingly remembered by her daughter Leslie (Greg) GRIMES of Cambridge and by her son Gary (Ati POWELL) CATER of Brights Grove. She will be forever remembered as Nanny by her grandchildren Eric and Lindsay GRIMES. She is survived by her former husband James CATER of Sarnia and is predeceased by her parents Harry and Lillian CURRY. She will be missed by Jonathan, Philip and Scott POWELL. Sheila's friend Bruce GATES was a special person in her life and she had many dear life long Friends who meant the world to her. She will be sincerely missed by her relatives back home in England, the residents of the Point, Friends at the Point Edward Ex-Serviceman's Club, Sarnia Yacht Club, Tuesday Executive Ladies' Golf Club and by the employees at Chalmers' Construction from where she retired just one short year ago. SEDGWICK, Doctor William Scott
It is with great sadness that the Sedgwick family announces the death of Doctor William (Bill) SEDGWICK on Thursday, August 30, 2007. Bill was in his 91st year of life and was the much loved husband of the late Margaret Jean (née SHORTREED.) They were happily married for 64 years. Bill was an inspirational father to his children Margaret, James, Elizabeth and Jane and loving grandfather to Scott and Luke. Bill is survived by his brother John and is predeceased by his sister Mildred GATES, brother Arthur and his parents Arthur and Annie SEDGWICK (née SCOTT.) Dr. SEDGWICK graduated from The University of Toronto, Faculty of Medicine in 1943 and was awarded The Ontario Medical Association Prize in Preventative Medicine and The William John Hendry Memorial Scholarship in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. A veteran of World War 2, he served with The Royal Canadian Army Medical Corp in Italy and England. After the war, Bill and Jean made their home in Woodstock where he practised medicine for 42 years, retiring at age 71. Bill was a lifelong participant and fan of many sports and was a member of The Woodstock Curling Club and Craigowan Golf Club. The family thanks Doctor Jeffery NICHOLLS for his Friendship and special care that he gave to Bill. We also extend heartfelt thanks to all his caregivers, both in the home and at The Woodstock General Hospital. Friends may call at the R.D. Entered into rest in the loving care of his family at the Toronto East General Hospital on Monday, November 26, 2007. Viv former husband of Lynne Margaret (JARVIS) TAIT/TAITE/TATE. Cherished father of Alan TAIT/TAITE/TATE and Heidi VON DER GATHEN of Orangeville, Elizabeth TAIT/TAITE/TATE and Christopher LE BER and Peter TAIT/TAITE/TATE, all of Toronto. Devoted grandpa of Ella TAIT/TAITE/TATE. Beloved friend of Jenny WEWERS.
Complete Funeral Services will be held in the Trull "East Toronto" Funeral Home and Cremation Centre,, 1111 Danforth Ave., (One Block East of Donlands Subway) on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at One O'clock. (Visitation one hour prior to the service.) Private Cremation.

Of Dresden and formerly of Wallaceburg and longtime resident of Sombra Township, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, January 7, 2007 in his 85th year. Fred is the beloved husband of Phillis May (née KERR.) Loving father of Elaine and Louis GATT of Wallaceburg, Doug and Carolyn of Bramalea, Harold and Chris of Saskatoon and Jane and the late Stan HETHERINGTON of Dresden. Dear grandfather of 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Brother of Pearl ELLIOT/ELLIOTT, Florene GLASGOW, Edwin and Gordon GONYOU, Ella MICKEL, Norma MELOCHE and the late Kenneth, Calvin, Lloyd and Hazel. Friends may call at the Haycock-Cavanagh Funeral Home, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg from 6-9 p.m. on Tuesday. The funeral services will be conducted by Reverend George FLEMING/FLEMMING at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 10 at 1 p.m. The interment will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
