Gary is also lovingly

Several nieces and nephews will greatly miss "Uncle Groove".
The family acknowledges Gary's dear friend Joe Casey for his
kindness and faithful support. Gary was born in Saint Thomas on
April 15th, 1937, the eldest
son of Harold and Dorothy

O'CONNOR. He was retired after many years with the M.T.O., he
was a member of the Kettle Valley Pioneers and was a distinguished
exhibitor of restored antique engines. Resting at Williams Funeral
Home, 45 Elgin St. Saint Thomas until Monday morning and then to
Holy Angels' Church where Mass of the Christian Burial will be
Celebrated at 10: 00 a.m. Interment to follow at Holy Angels'
Cemetery. Visitation Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Prayers
will be recited at the funeral home Sunday at 7: 00 p.m. Remembrances
may be made to the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Palliative Care Unit.

CARTER appropriately nicknamed
by his buddies of 'The First Special Forces', (Devil's Brigade)
World War 2, the first Canadian and American special service
force. Ormie served in the Italian Campaign, was a Prisoner of
War in Stalag 7 in Munich. Ormie volunteered near the end of
the war with the Swiss Red Cross driving into Mauthausen and
Dachau Concentration Camps bringing prisoners to safety, and
for medical treatment. Ormie was recently awarded the American
Combat Infantry Badge and the American Military Medal (Bronze
Star) by the U.S. Army. Ormie will be sadly missed by his Friends
and family. Friends will be received at the J.S. Jones and son
