GAIN, Frances Loretta (née MacKEY) (July 14, 1914-June 11, 2007)
Loving wife of James Frederick GAIN (1986.) Mother to Danny, Peter, Paul, Anne, Jerome, Irene, Loretta and Jeannette. Proud grandmother of sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Survived by sister Cecilia PHILLIPS and pre-deceased by siblings Art, Vince and Helen MacKEY and Kit COE. Frances passed away surrounded by her children and will always be remembered for her selfless devotion to her family, her wonderful sense of humour, a special gift for storytelling and her constant whistling. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Kensington Gardens for their tender care and support. Friends may call at Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas Street West (one block east of Runnymede Rd.) on Wednesday, June 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass from St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 2300 Burnhamthorpe Road West, Mississauga at 11: 00 a.m. Thursday. Friends are asked to go directly to the church on the day of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kensington Gardens Life Enhancement Programs would be appreciated.

(August 21, 1912-October 6, 2007)
Loving wife of Reid W. PHILLIPS (1981.) Pre-deceased by siblings Art, Vince and Helen MacKEY, Kit COE and Frances GAIN. Aunt Cile will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews for her kind heart, generous spirit, wonderful sense of humour and her beautiful voice. Special thanks to the staff at the O'Neil Centre where Cecilia resided and acted as the President of the Resident Council for the last ten years. A celebration of her life will take place at the O'Neil Centre at 11: 00 a.m. October 23.

LOVENUIK, STEVE
Pa, a master builder of family, Friendships, and structures, passed away peacefully at home, on Wednesday, July 4, 2007. Steve's passion for living life fully and sharing that passion made him unforgettable to all that he met. He was a positive force in many lives, especially his family of 8 children, 17 grandchildren, and to Dorothy, his loving wife of 51 years. Steve is survived by Dorothy; children and grandchildren, Jeff (Cheryl), Anna, Calvin LOVENUIK of Calgary, Laurie (Perry,) Kyle, Kurtis, Michael NISHIYAMA of Edmonton, Donna (John,) Alyson, Veronica, Paula ROONEY of Calgary, Pat (Dale,) Kara, Ben, Mallory KNELLER of Durango, Colorado, Stephen LOVENUIK of Revelstoke, British Columbia, Mary (Gord,) Krysia, Ross, Reid FERGUSON of Calgary, Margaret (Joe) Sofia SCHLIESSLER of Vancouver, British Columbia, and Monica (Dave,) Declan, Brendan GAINER of Redmond, Washington; sisters, Mary (Joe) HOOVER, Elise (Chris) DEMUYNCK, Margaret GELINAS, and brother Al (Heather) LOVENUIK. Steve was born in Smoky Lake in 1934, the son of Anna and Nicholas LOVENUIK. He grew up in Coal Valley. Steve was respected as an owner of a successful construction business in Edmonton. Over many years he was responsible for the construction of several hundred buildings in the area. Steve was forever working to help those he loved. Throughout his life he was always aware of the needs of his growing family and made everyone happy. He gave us a great sense of family that we all possess now - that legacy lives on. He loved to see his family gathered around the dining room table for a feast prepared by Dorothy and to hold everyone captive until he recited his Italian, or Polish, or Latin version of Grace. Like Louis Armstrong sang, Steve lived in 'A Wonderful World'. We will miss him at track meets, recitals, athletic races, golf games, ski hills, volleyball games, dance competitions and soccer games. He was an avid spectator and Number One Fan of his children and his grandchildren's endeavors. We would like to thank Doctor Helen Hays for her kind and caring support and efforts to help make Pa comfortable in his final week. Of Berford Lake, peacefully at Grey Bruce Health Services Wiarton on Friday, August 3rd, 2007. The former Jean GAINES in her 66th year. Dear wife and best friend of Bob for 49 years. Loving mother of Chris and her husband Joe BETTE, of Owen Sound; Brian and his wife Linda, of Coe Hill; Bob and his partner Heather, of Sarnia; and Bill and his wife Kristine, of Guelph. Forever loved by 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by her sisters Carol and her husband Ernie ROBERTS, Joy and her husband Ron LUXTON, and Nancy and her husband Bill WILLIAMS and sisters-in-law Lorraine and her husband Dave TRICK, Eleanor McCUTCHEON, Joy CLOUGH (and friend Louie,) and Bonnie and her husband Doug SMITH. At Jean's request cremation has taken place. Friends may call at the Thomas C.
