After a full and valuable life, and a short but courageous struggle
against cancer, Millicent passed away in Ottawa on June 14th,
2007, in her 78th year. Millicent was the daughter of Douglas
and Constance
(DINGLE) of Toronto. She leaves behind her husband
of 50 years, Robert, her children, Stephen and Judy, her brother
Kenneth McRAE and his wife
Dorothea, her nieces Patricia, Sandra,
Karen, and Susan
McRAE.
Millicent's life was centred around music.
She was a piano pupil of Lubka Kolessa in Toronto and her subsequent
teaching career reflected the influence of that renowned performer.
She commenced her teaching career in Toronto. This was followed
by over 20 years in Fredericton, then another 23 years in Ottawa.
She was much loved by her students, who ranged from beginners
to retirees. A one time music critic for the Fredericton Daily
Gleaner, she was active in many musical organizations including
the Registered Music Teachers' Associations in New Brunswick
and Ontario, music festivals in Fredericton and Ottawa and Gilbert
and Sullivan Societies in Fredericton and Ottawa. Friends are
invited to visit the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry,
315 McLeod Street, Ottawa, on Wednesday, June 20th from 7 to
9 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday,
June 21st at 2: 30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Ottawa
Kiwanis Music Festival or the Ottawa Hospital would be appreciated.

DINGMAN was a Co-Publisher
and Editor of The Beacon Herald until he retired in 1997. He
was a member of the fourth generation of his family involved
in newspaper publishing in Stratford. He was very interested
in the history and cultural heritage of the area. He was a founding
member of the Perth County Historical Foundation and was instrumental
in the early steps to purchase and restore the Fryfogel Inn east
of Shakespeare. While at the newspaper he wrote a popular and
extensive series "Streets Names of Stratford". He received recognition
from the Province of Ontario and the Ontario Heritage Trust for
his extensive contribution to cultural heritage in 2006. We are
grateful for the support of the community health care system
which allowed Stan to be cared for at home. Memorial donations
may be made through the W.G. Young funeral home, 430 Huron Street,
Stratford to the Stratford General Hospital or the Multiple Sclerosis
Society. Cremation has taken place. A private family service

Margaret passed away peacefully on June 25, 2007, age 80, after
many months of struggling with cancer. She leaves her husband
William (Bill), daughter Elizabeth, her sons: Donald, Stewart
and Jim, her sister Isabel and five beloved grandchildren, Daniel,
Andrew, William, Kathryn and Christopher. son Robert predeceased
her in 2000. Born in Keewatin, daughter of James and Isobel
MacGARVA,
Margaret graduated from the School of Nursing at Hamilton General
Hospital in 1950. She began raising her family in Kenora, then
on to Chatham, Windsor and finally Toronto where she spent many
happy decades and her final years, often with her nose in a good
book, but still finding the time to golf and spoil her grandchildren.
The family is extremely grateful that Margaret's final days were
eased greatly by the compassionate staffs at Bough Beeches Place
and Trillium Health's McCall Centre for Continuing Care. Friends
may call at the Turner and Porter Butler Chapel, 4933 Dundas St. W.,
Etobicoke, (between Islington and Kipling Aves.) from 10: 00 a.m.
on Friday June 29, 2007 until the time of the Funeral Service

It is with heavy hearts that Joan's daughters, Kimberley (Andrew
BUNTAIN, Oakville) and Lara (Bradley
MORRIS, Markham); announce
the death of their mother following a brave and lengthy battle
with cancer on September 17th, 2007. Mom was predeceased by Dad,
William Beverley
HAZEN, in 2004, also after a quietly courageous
struggle with cancer. Mom is survived and will be remembered
by her two granddaughters, Hannah and Erica, her brothers: Ian,
Ken and Barry and their families in the Maritimes, as well as
a wide circle of loving family and Friends. We would like to
thank the compassionate nursing staff at Markham Stouffville
Hospital, who cared for Mom in her last months. At Mom's request,
a private family service and interment of her ashes will take
place next summer overlooking her grandparents' home along the
Northumberland Strait in her home town of Merigomish, Nova Scotia.
To show our appreciation to family and Friends for their never-ending
support to our family over the past five years, Kim and Lara
will be hosting a reception in Oakville in their parents' honour.

Anne HAM died at her home in Jupiter, Florida on Friday, October 26,
2007 after a long and courageous fight with breast cancer. Anne
was born in Montreal, Quebec on August 18, 1930 to Catherine
and Charles
DINSMORE.
She attended West Hill High School and
McGill University. Anne married Leslie
HAM, also of Montreal,
on June 12, 1954. Anne and Les subsequently lived, worked and
played in Toronto, New Canaan, Paris, Hong Kong, London and Jupiter.
Anne will be missed by her many Friends throughout Canada and
the United States and by her husband Les, three children, Keith
