Suddenly on Wednesday, December, 19, 2007 at Saint Michael's Hospital in Toronto. Loving husband of Liz, cherished father of Jason, Jessica (Todd), Jenna, Nicholas and Christopher. Loving son of James and Kessy JASKI. Dear brother of Jennifer and David McPHERSON, Jonathan and Amanda JASKI, Janette and Jim NOTTRODT, Julianne and Paul ROGERS. Beloved uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. Dear son-in-law of Ted CRYER and Barbara BAZETT of Vancouver. Jay is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins and friend and former wife Barbara CHARLEBOIS. Jay was highly respected and will be sorely missed by many Friends and business associates. Jay's family will receive their Friends at The George Darte Funeral Chapel 585 Carlton Street (St. Catharines) until Monday December 24, 2007 at 10: 30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated in Star of the Sea Church at 11 a.m. Cremation. Visiting hours Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at the funeral home on Sunday at 3 p.m. Memorial donations (available at the funeral home) for Jay to St. Alfred's Church - Out Of The Cold Program would be appreciated by the family. Peacefully surrounded by the love of her family, at the Grey Bruce Health Services on Wednesday morning, January 3rd, 2007. Alwyn Joyce BOWERS (née HARGEST,) of Owen Sound, in her 75th year. Dearly beloved wife of James BOWERS. Loving mother of Deidre INNES and her husband, Don, of Stratford, Shannon BOWERS and her husband, Royden, Bradley BOWERS and his wife, Kim, both of Owen Sound and Tim BOWERS and his wife, Kathy, of Fort McMurray, Alberta. Proud grandmother of Tracy, Gary, Jason, Justin, Mark, Aaron and Megan and great-grandmother of Hannah and Isaac. Alwyn will be sadly missed by her brothers, Herb HARGEST and his wife, Sally, Bruce HARGEST and his wife, Linda, and Glen HARGEST and his partner, Norma, all of Owen Sound: her sister, Lenore WRIGHT and her husband, Ivor, of Guelph; her sister-in-law, Vera CRYMBLE her brothers-in-law, Jimmy Lockwood and Jim Weir. Predeceased by her parents, Bryan and Gwen HARGEST; her son, Michael BOWERS her brothers, John, Evan, Llewellyn and Brian HARGEST; her sisters, Peggy LOCKWOOD and Pamela WEIR. Friends may call at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 - 14th Street West, Owen Sound (519-376-7492) on Friday from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. and one hour prior to service. A Funeral Service for Alwyn BOWERS will be held in the Funeral Home Chapel on Saturday, January 6th, 2007 at 11: 00 a.m. with Dr. Brad CLARK officiating. Interment in Greenwood Cemetery. LEIFSO, Donald Arthur
Donald Arthur LEIFSO of R.R.#2 Elmwood, passed away peacefully with his family by his side at his residence on Tuesday, July 24, 2007, in his 79th year.
Beloved husband and best friend of Peggy. Loving father of Brian and his wife Susanne of Elmwood and Donna and her husband Rick HATTEN of R.R.#1 Desboro.
Cherished grandfather of Melissa, Sabrina and Brandon LEIFSO and Sarah (Terry,) CRYSTAL and Rob HATTEN.
Don will be fondly remembered by his brother Allan and his wife Estella of R.R.#2 Elmwood and his sister Alice and her husband Jim DEMPSEY of Connecticut. Predeceased by his brother Ray, sister Audrey AHRENS and his parents, Arthur and Emma (STUEMPFLE) LEIFSO.
Visitation was held at the Cameron Funeral Home, Chesley on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Hanover Lodge #432 Masonic service was held Thursday at 7 pm.
A funeral service was held on Friday, July 27, 2007 at Saint_John's Lutheran Church, Elmwood at 2 p.m. Interment in Saint_John's Lutheran Cemetery, Elmwood.
Memorial donations to the Chesley Hospital Foundation, Saint_John's Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
