COE, Marjorie Etta (SERVICE)
At Leisureworld Caregiving Centre-Creedan Valley, Creemore, on Wednesday, December 26, 2007 formerly of Maxwell and Shelburne, in her 98th year. Marjorie SERVICE was the beloved wife of the late Bill COE. Loving mother of Eileen (the late Frank) TOMPOROWSKI of Collingwood and Gerald (Doris) of Meaford. Loved and remembered by 3 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Dear sister of the late Stan. The family received Friends at the Fawcett Funeral Home, Flesherton on Friday, December 28, 2007 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Service was held from the Funeral Home on Saturday, December 29 at 11 a.m. (today). Interment Honeywood Cemetery, Honeywood. Memorial contributions to Canadian Cancer Society or to the Charity of your choice.

Richard COE NINDE
Richard COE NINDE, dearly beloved, died June 14th, 2007, in residence at Kendal at Oberlin surrounded by family and Friends.
Born March 17, 1917 in Fort Wayne, Indiana, he was the third son of Daniel and Margaret COE NINDE. Richard graduated from Andover in 1935, Harvard in 1939, and Harvard Business School in 1941. He served in the USA Navy as a second Lieutenant during WW2. Subsequently he worked for many years at Marble Cliff Quarries in Columbus, Ohio, serving first as Foreman and later as President. Richard married Nanciann KAUFMAN NINDE in 1943. They enjoyed 63 years together before her death September 16, 2006. Most of their married life they lived in Columbus, Ohio. They built a cottage in the Bay of Islands, Ontario, Canada in 1958 and it provided them with many years of pleasure and wood-splitting opportunities. While in Columbus, Richard served on several boards including Rocky Fork Hunt and Country Club, Children's Hospital, the YMCA, and United Way. Avid philanthropists, he and Nancy were strong supporters of The Columbus Foundation and established The Ninde Scholars in Oberlin Ohio, to support local students to receive a college education. He is survived by his daughter, Susan NINDE LANIER of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Whitefish Falls, ON, Canada, and her children, Sarah LINDLEY JEFFERSON and Emma WARD TRESEMER, his son, Michael COE NINDE of Columbus, Ohio, his nieces, Peg PURCELL, Jane NINDE and Mary Margaret JACQUES, and his companion, Eleanor WOOLMAN DEVEREAUX of Oberlin, Ohio. He was predeceased by his brothers, David and Daniel NINDE of Durham, NH. A gathering for family and Friends will be Saturday, June 30, from 3: 00 pm until a 5: 00 pm service celebrating his life in the private dining room of Kendal at Oberlin. Richard and Nancy will be buried in Durham Cemetery, Durham, NH. Memorial contributions may be made to The Ninde Scholars c/o The Community Foundation of Greater Lorain County, 1865 North Ridge Road East, Lorain, Ohio 44052. GAIN, Frances Loretta (née MacKEY) (July 14, 1914-June 11, 2007)
Loving wife of James Frederick GAIN (1986.) Mother to Danny, Peter, Paul, Anne, Jerome, Irene, Loretta and Jeannette. Proud grandmother of sixteen grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Survived by sister Cecilia PHILLIPS and pre-deceased by siblings Art, Vince and Helen MacKEY and Kit COE. Frances passed away surrounded by her children and will always be remembered for her selfless devotion to her family, her wonderful sense of humour, a special gift for storytelling and her constant whistling. Special thanks to the wonderful staff at Kensington Gardens for their tender care and support. Friends may call at Lynett Funeral Home, 3299 Dundas Street West (one block east of Runnymede Rd.) on Wednesday, June 13 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass from St. Ignatius Loyola Catholic Church, 2300 Burnhamthorpe Road West, Mississauga at 11: 00 a.m. Thursday. Friends are asked to go directly to the church on the day of the service. In lieu of flowers, donations to Kensington Gardens Life Enhancement Programs would be appreciated.

(August 21, 1912-October 6, 2007)
Loving wife of Reid W. PHILLIPS (1981.) Pre-deceased by siblings Art, Vince and Helen MacKEY, Kit COE and Frances GAIN. Aunt Cile will be lovingly remembered by her many nieces and nephews for her kind heart, generous spirit, wonderful sense of humour and her beautiful voice. Special thanks to the staff at the O'Neil Centre where Cecilia resided and acted as the President of the Resident Council for the last ten years. A celebration of her life will take place at the O'Neil Centre at 11: 00 a.m. October 23.

Of London, formerly of Forest (Glendale Beach) enjoyed 88 joyous, rewarding and fulfilling years as a daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. On Tuesday, January 9, 2007, comforted by John, Joan and Joslyn, she passed peacefully into God's hands at Extendicare (London). Beloved wife of the late Harry Bruce TAILOR/TAYLOR. Loved mother of John TAILOR/TAYLOR and his wife Joan. Loving grandmother of Joslyn and Andrew REID and great-grandmother of Justyn and Adam. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Bertha PICKERING, Lawrence SCOTT, Rena and Orville TRUEMNER, Marilyn PICKERING, Rev. Joyce E. ELDER, Grace and Valere DENOMME, Marilyn and Willis ROCK, Karen PICKERING, Ken PICKERING, Cathy PICKERING, Leonard and Judith PICKERING and Betty and William COECK. Predeceased by sisters Iva LATTA and Hazel SCOTT and brothers Earl, Ross, Jack, Harvey, Glen, James and Don PICKERING. Peacefully at the Garry Armstrong Home on Sunday, December 2, 2007 in her 96th year. Beloved aunt of Carleen BAILY, Tymera COEN and Robin Coen SASSO (Raymond) and great-aunt of Alec and Jacob BAILY and Elizabeth and Abigail SASSO. Predeceased by her sister Virginia COEN and brother-in-law Oscar COEN. With the National Film Board from 1941 to 1961 she was their first Director of Personnel and the first woman Director of Personnel in the federal public service. Subsequently she held several senior positions in federal central agencies before moving to the Canadian Radio, Television and Telecommunications Commission as their Director of Personnel. She retired from the federal public service in 1971, thereafter spending eight years as an independent consultant on position classification matters in Canada and abroad, particularly in Jamaica where she spent two to three years as a part-time advisor to the Government of Jamaica. A Memorial Service will be held at the Central Chapel of Hulse, Playfair and McGarry, 315 McLeod Street, Ottawa on Saturday, December 8, 2007 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment in the family plot, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Toronto. The family wishes to extend their warm appreciation to the staff of The Edinburgh and the Garry Armstrong for their unfailing care and to William Fleury and Beverly Mathesius for their kind care and support.
