SMITH,

illness. Predeceased by his parents Ray and Vera, he will be
remembered by son Geoff and his wife

While born in East York, he spent most of his life in Mississauga.
He developed a passion and skill for refereeing hockey, culminating
with several years at the National Hockey League level. Finding
that his chosen profession was not conducive to a family life,
Tom put away the whistle and found success in the world of plumbing
supplies. Tom was Owner and President of two companies -- CBS Plumbing
Distributors and T&L Fittings. Most recently, he had been the
Ontario Sales Rep for BMI Canada. In his free time, he greatly
enjoyed his memberships at Mississaugua and Weston Golf Clubs
where he developed countless Friendships. Tom also derived great
enjoyment from his travels to Titusville Florida. Tom will be
remembered as a devoted husband, father, friend and a true lover
of life. Many thanks to the staffs at Princess Margaret Hospital,
Trillium Health Centre and the McCall Centre for their devoted
care. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no formal visitation
or funeral. A small, private celebration of his life will take
place in the coming weeks. In lieu of flowers, the family would
appreciate that donations be made to either Princess Margaret
Hospital or Trillium Health Centre.
