on July 24, 2007, in his 85th year, after a brief illness. Loving

Grampa to six grandchildren: Kelly, Richard, Nikki, Alex, Caitlin
and Jennifer. Rod joined the Hussars in 1939 and served Canada
with distinction until 1945. A Belleville resident since 1978,
he was the much respected Operating Superintendent of Sears in
Quinte Mall until retirement. Member of the Belleville Bridge
Club, Harbour Club, Oak Hills Golf Club and Belleville Sagonaska
Club.
Visitation at Burke Funeral Home, 150 Church Street, Belleville,
on Monday, July 30th from 2: 00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.
A Memorial Service celebrating Rod's life will be held at 11: 00 a.m.
on Tuesday, July 31st at Bridge Street United Church, 60 Bridge
Street,
Belleville.

Maureen Claire
ROPCEAN passed away on September 25, 2007 at the
age of 76 years. Maureen was predeceased by her parents, Dorothy
CLYNE and Raymond
CHISHOLM and her husband George. She will be
sadly missed by her daughters, Susan Dawn
TURNER (née
MORNINGSTAR)
and husband Roger of Okotoks, Alberta and Cheryl Anne
MORNINGSTAR
and husband Robbie
METZA of Whistler, British Columbia. Grandchildren
Brett, Adam and Jena
TURNER of Okotoks, and Birken and Braden
METZA of Whistler; one sister Gwen
NICKSIC and nieces and nephews
of Kingsport, Tennessee. Maureen was born and raised in Edmonton.
When the twins were young, some time was spent in the Maritimes
where good Friends were made. Maureen returned to spend the rest
of her life as an Albertan. She loved her Friends and family
and loved life. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday,
September 29, 2007 at 4: 00 p.m. at Holy Nativity Anglican Church,
12707 Bonaventure Drive S.E., Calgary with The Reverend Bryan Beveridge
officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made directly
