BEHAN, Edward
Passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at Humber River Regional Hospital-Church Site. Born on February 19, 1926 in Pembroke, Ontario. Loving father of David and his wife Ellie and Terry and her husband Robb WATSON. Dear Granddad of Chris and Paul. Brother of Bill, Bob and his wife Eilleen, John and his wife Trudy and Allan. Predeceased by his wife Audrey, and parents William F. BEHAN and Clorinda REGIMBAL. He was a long time employee of A.E. Ames and The Maple Leaf Gardens. By Edward's request there will be no visitation. A memorial mass will take place 2: 30 p.m. on Tuesday July 3rd 2007 at the Ward Funeral Home 2035 Weston Rd. (North of Lawrence Ave.) Weston. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Capuchins, St. Theresa Missionary Centre (4387 De L'Esplanade Ave., Montreal Québec, H2W 1T3), or the Lung Association would be appreciated by the family.

BEHAN, Robert " Bob" Leonard
Beloved husband of Eileen, passed away at home on Friday, November 23, 2007, after a short illness. Dear father of Mary Ellen JESTICE of Fremont, California, Frances of Calgary, Alberta and Allan and wife Lita CLASSEN of Hamilton, Ontario; beloved grandfather of Alexander Jestice CONNOR and Jeffrey BEHAN. Survived by brothers William, Allan, John and his wife Trudy. Predeceased by brother Edward. A proud Veteran of World War 2, serving as a navigator with the Royal Air Force Bomber Squadron, Bob was a member of the Professional Engineers Association of Ontario and a Society of Descartes Medalist, awarded for Signal Service to Mathematics in the Schools of Ontario. A Funeral Mass was held at 11: 00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 28, 2007 at the Star of the Sea Church, 1153 Fir Street, White Rock, British Columbia.

SMITH, Doctor J Malcolm
Peacefully at Parkwood Hospital, on Wednesday, July 4th, 2007, Dr. John Malcolm (Mack) SMITH, of London, in his 85th year. Devoted and faithful husband for 56 years to Marilyn (SPECK.) Loved and admired by his children Katherine (Peter) CULBERT, David (Joanne) SMITH, and Christopher SMITH. Mack will be missed by his grandchildren, Jay, Julie and Ian CULBERT, and Katie and Lindsay SMITH. Mack volunteered in the Second World War and served with the Royal Canadian Naval Volunteer Reserve. Following graduation from the University of Toronto, he pursued a career with the Royal Canadian Dental Corps. After retirement from the military, he became a member of the Faculty of Dentistry at the University Of Western Ontario. Mack was a man of honour and integrity who, through his commitment to his family, country and the environment, has truly made the world a better place. Friends will be received at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, London, on Sunday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A funeral service will be conducted at the Church of the Transfiguration, 33 Bromleigh Ave., on Monday, July 9th, 2007 at 1: 00 p.m. Interment, Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Mack are asked to consider the Nature Conservancy of Canada, 110 Eglington Ave. W., Suite 400, Toronto, Ontario M4R 1A3, or the Alzheimer Society. Many thanks to Doctor Michael BORRIE and the exceptional staff at Western Counties Wing, 2 Perth, Parkwood Hospital, as well as to Doctor Nancy BEHME for the loving care shown to Mack during his illness. Passed away on Sunday, December 16, 2007, peacefully and with grace with her daughter and sister by her side. She was 58. Predeceased by her late husband Michael BEHNAN. Beloved daughter of Winnette and the late Leonard LAPEER. Loving mother of Angela, 17. Caring sister of Leanne (Peter) EVERETT, Bryan (Carol) LAPEER and Lenny (Julie) LAPEER. A memorial service will be held at Trinity United Church, Division Street, Cobourg, Ontario, on Saturday, December 22 at 11: 00 a.m. Reception to follow in the church hall.
