Of Wiarton, peacefully surrounded by all her loving family on Saturday June 16, 2007 at London Health Sciences. The former Eleanor Mae BENNETT in her 80th year. Loving wife of Ellery for 58 years. Cherished mother of Karen (Jack MacKINNON,) Yellowknife Kathy (Dave WILSON), Sauble Beach; Gwen GILBERT (friend Ernie FARROW), Wiarton; Marilyn (Garth CAMPBELL), R.R.#1 Hepworth Keith (Dianne), Wiarton; Brent (Wanda), R.R.#4 Wiarton; Vern (Diane), R.R.#4 Markdale; Vic (Brenda), Wiarton; and Melanie (Graham CRAIG), Belfast, Northern Ireland. Beloved Grandmother of Jennifer (Mike WATTERS,) Stephanie (Paul SENIOR,) Heidi (Don VAIL,) Jody WILSON (Laura,) Tatum (friend Brent BELL,) Rachel (Kevin HOWELL), Derick (Joy), Jay, Ronnie (Lindsay), Janna (friend Trevor ORTMAN), Alison, Nick, Mitzi, Nita, Kyle, Kurt, Amy and Sophia. On Thursday November 22nd, 2007, in her 93rd year. Vi, beloved wife of the late John A. WALTON (1997.) Loving mother of Roger WALTON, Betty Jo RUSSELL and Ann BAYLER. Cherished grandmother to Mandy, Jon, Michelle, Julie and Laurie and great-grandmother to Tyler, Abby, Andrew, Gracie and Will. Dear sister to Betty McFALL and adored aunt of Laurie and her children. Vi will be missed by her family and many close Friends, especially those Friends of the Annunciation Parish. She will be remembered for her endless volunteer work at the Princess Margaret Lodge, The Daily Bread Food Bank, Meals on Wheels, Out of the Cold, Caring and the Church of the Annunciation. Visitation at the Church of the Incarnation, 15 Clairtrell Road, North York, (first street west of Bayview Avenue, north off of Sheppard Avenue), on Thursday November 29th, 2007 at 1 p.m. until time of memorial service at 2 o'clock. Eighty-three years young, Bill passed away peacefully on December 31, 2006. Predeceased by his wife Yvonne of 51 years (1997). Bill is remembered always for his generosity of spirit, and calming influence on all. His legacy extends through his sons Greg and Andy, daughters-in-law Sandy and Janice, grandchildren Matthew, Amy, Nathan, Simon, and great-granddaughter Megan. The family wishes to express appreciation to Doctors BROWN and BAYLEY and R.N. Antoinette DIAS at Princess Margaret Hospital. The family will receive Friends at the Scott Funeral Home 'Brampton Chapel', 289 Main St. N., Brampton, (905-451-1100) on Wednesday, January 3rd from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 10 a.m. Cremation to follow. RUSTED, Doctor Ian Edwin Lawman Hollands, B.A., M.D., M.Sc., M.A.C.P., F.R.C.P.C., O.C.
Passed away with characteristic dignity and patience on July 14th, 2007, in his 86th year. Until his severe stroke in January 2007, Dr. RUSTED enjoyed a healthy independent life with his beloved wife of 58 years, Ellen Marie (HANSEN.) He is also survived by his two sons, Christopher of Topsail and Brian (Christine SOWIAK) of Nanton Alberta, and three grand_sons, Jonathan, Peter and Timothy, in whom he found great comfort and joy. Also fondly missed by his brother Doctor Nigel RUSTED (Florence) and their children: Joan, Elaine and Thomas, and sister Winifred BAYLEY. Doctor RUSTED was predeceased by his father, Canon Ernest E. RUSTED, his mother Faith (HOLLANDS,) brother, the Very Reverend Edward RUSTED, sisters Sybil TOY, and Joan BRECKMAN. Born in Upper Island Cove, Doctor RUSTED received his early education in Carbonear and Saint_John's. A proud graduate of Memorial College, Dalhousie University, University of Toronto, McGill University and a Fellow of the Mayo Clinic. Dr. RUSTED was the founding Dean of Memorial University of Newfoundland's Medical School, and subsequently served many years in a variety of roles as Vice president. In recognition of his work with many Provincial, National and International organizations, Doctor RUSTED was granted honorary Degrees from the Universities of Toronto, Dalhousie, Mount Allison, and Memorial, and was a Master of the American College of Physicians. He was named an officer of the Order of Canada in 1985. A proud Rotarian of fifty years, Doctor RUSTED had also been a keen tennis player and an avid gardener. Doctor RUSTED will be remembered as a generous, kind, and gentle man, with an iron will, and as a pioneer and champion for Memorial's Medical School. Resting at Carnell's Funeral Home, on Monday and Tuesday from 12 p.m.-4 p.m. and from 7 p.m.-9 p.m., with services from the Anglican Cathedral of Saint_John the Baptist on Wednesday, July 18 at 11 a.m. To honor his memory, donations may be made to the Doctor Ian Rusted Founder's Chair in Medical Education, Faculty of Medicine, Memorial University of Newfoundland. It is with great sadness that the family announce the death of the beloved husband of Beatrice Norsworthy MURPHY, father of Alex (Jean BAYLIS) and their children Laura, Greg and Sandra Kippy and her children Heather (Tim MERRITT,) Dan and Emily Georgie (David SCOTT) and their children Andrew, Greg (Laura SHULA) and Carrie; Gail (Ron PEROWNE) and their children Fred, Lisa (Ed CLAYTON,) and Charlie (Denise PENZAK) and their children Savhana and Ronan; David (Robin SHAPIRO) and their children Jessica and Victoria. He was also like a father to Betty Berman Levin and friend and mentor to so many others. David MURPHY was a Captain in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, and served on the H.M.C.S. Lady Nelson as a surgeon and later at the Montreal Military Hospital. He was an early pioneer in Paediatric Cardiovascular surgery, Professor of Medicine at McGill University, Surgeon-in-Chief at The Montreal Children's Hospital from 1954-1982, Past President and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a member of the British, French and American Societies of Paediatric Surgeons.
Special thanks to the staff of M10 at the Royal Victoria Hospital and Doctors J. Genest, P. Lysy, and D. Dawson. Memorial service October 27, 2007, 11: 30 a.m. at the Mount Royal Funeral Complex, 1297 Chemin de la Foret, Outremont, Québec (514) 279-6540. Remembrances to the David R. He will be deeply missed by his grandchildren and great-grand_son. Dear brother of Sylvia and Roy. On Tuesday, January 9, 2007, comforted by John, Joan and Joslyn, she passed peacefully into God's hands at Extendicare (London). Beloved wife of the late Harry Bruce TAILOR/TAYLOR. Loved mother of John TAILOR/TAYLOR and his wife Joan. Loving grandmother of Joslyn and Andrew REID and great-grandmother of Justyn and Adam. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Bertha PICKERING, Lawrence SCOTT, Rena and Orville TRUEMNER, Marilyn PICKERING, Rev. Joyce E.
