At Georgian Heights Nursing Home, on Wednesday July 11th, 2007, Ellen COUTU (née BARFOOT) in her 84th year. Predeceased by her husband Clifford CARSON. Sadly missed by her children Harold CARSON and his wife Pat of Owen Sound, Sharon BAUER and her husband Rudy of Preston, and Doug CARSON and his wife Helen of Owen Sound. Sadly missed by grandchildren Kathy (Jack) GIBBONS, Ryan CARSON, Delynne (Jeff) BAUER, Scott BAUER, Mark (Pam) CARSON, and Sheryl (Greg) KLERKS. Also missed by seven great-grandchildren. Also survived by her brother Irving. Predeceased by daughters Helen and Marilyn, and grand_son Brian. Also predeceased by sisters Viola, Winifred, Florence, Hattie, her brother Arthur, and by husbands Glenn PATTERSON and Victor COUTU. Ellen was a long time member of the Legion Ladies Auxiliary and of the Rebecca Lodge. Friends are invited to Tannahill Funeral Home for visiting on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted in the chapel on Friday July 13th, at 11 o'clock with visiting 1 hour prior to service. Reverend Ralph SCHMIDT officiating. A Legion Ladies Auxiliary service will be held Thursday evening at 6: 45 p.m. Interment Greenwood Cemetery. Memorial donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.

Lovingly remembered by her six favourite grandchildren Kim HACKER, Kristen BAUMANN (Markus), Chris LOBBAN (Andrea,) Steve LOBBAN, Kate HACKER and Craig LOBBAN and her three favourite great-grandchildren Taylor and Cameron BAUMANN and Liam LOBBAN. Survived by her sister Evelyn BONNEY (Dr. Robert) and predeceased by her sister Mabel McMULLEN and her brother Grant CAMPBELL. Also predeceased by her step-mother-in-law (and friend) Mae HACKER. Fondly remembered by her many Friends and her nieces, nephews and cousins. JOHANNSON, Edgar
Passed away July 31, 2007, at the age of 84 at the Chesley, Ontario hospital after complications from a broken hip. He was born Christmas Day, December 25th, 1922, in Edmonton, Alberta. He went to school at the University of Alberta and graduated from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, British Columbia, with a degree in mechanical engineering. Before retiring in the mid 1980s, Edgar worked for Canadian Blower and Forge Company, Buffalo Forge and Aerofin Corporation. Over the years he lived in Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario; Montreal, Quebec; West Des Moines, Iowa; and in St. Charles, Illinois. He most recently lived at the Sunshine Centre in Waterloo, Ontario. He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean BAUMAN/BOWMAN, and by his stepsister, Gretta SMITH. He is survived by five children: Jenny AMY of Southampton; Karen NOLL of Maryhill Lynn JOHANNSON of Glen Williams; Eric JOHANNSON of St. Charles, Illinois and Joyce JOHANNSON of Minneapolis, Minnesota. Also survived by sister Joyce BELL of Drumheller, Alberta; stepsister Margaret WILLIAMS of Penarth, Wales, United Kingdom and brother Ken JOHANNSON of Rochester, Minnesota., as well as by 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A Memorial Service for the Interment of Ashes will be held at Hagey Cemetery, Cambridge, Ontario, on Saturday October 6, 2007 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorials that help celebrate Ed's life and broad range of interests. Dear friend of Cheryl BAUMAN/BOWMAN of Williamsford. Loving uncle for many nieces and nephews. Will be missed by his sister-in-laws Inez CRAWFORD, Ella MacLEOD and Lois (Guy) TREMBLAY and his aunt Ann (Bob) WRIGHTSON. Predeceased by his wife Gwenn, his parents Daniel and Florence and his siblings Allan and Colleen. Max was a good family man, who made Friends wherever he went. Passed away suddenly of heart failure at the Rockyview Hospital, Calgary, Alberta, on Sunday, December 31, 2006. Bill, widower of June WESTGATE (Blair) and beloved father of Donna BAUMAN/BOWMAN of Calgary, Blair WESTGATE of Cambridge Ontario and Adele DONALDSON (Bill) of Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, was born at Regina, May 19, 1920. He is survived by brothers Murray of Toronto and Lloyd (Gail) of Orleans, Ontario and was predeceased by sister Eileen WESTGATE of Toronto. His surviving grandchildren are Kay DONALDSON of Victoria and Kevin, Allan and Doug BAUMAN/BOWMAN of Calgary. Bill was an active member of the Glencoe Club; the Al Azhar Shrine Temple; the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Veteran's Association and was a past President of Royal Canadian Legion, Calgary Centennial Branch 285. He was a recipient of the Canadian Voluntary Service Medal, the Queen's Jubilee Medal and the Governor General's Caring Canadian Award. Brenda Louise RUDAT passed away on November 30, 2007 after a lengthy illness. She will be greatly missed by her mother, Lilian BAUMAN/BOWMAN and by her loving husband, John. She will be fondly remembered by her sons Carl and Russell and by her daughter-in-law Melissa. Brenda adored her granddaughter Alexis and grand_son TAYG. Her loving presence will be sadly missed. She is survived by her brother Bob BAUMAN/BOWMAN and her sister Beryl GEMERT. She was predeceased by her sister Carol McKELLAR. Passed away peacefully January 1, 2007 at University Hospital London, in his 95th year. He worked as a Machinist at the Canadian National Railway Shops and Dominion Chain in Stratford. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years Patricia BAUN of London. He is also survived by his two children Gordon and wife Ferne, and Susan and husband Leighton McLEOD, all of Stratford; and one step-son Michael MASSECAR and wife Cindy of Calgary. Step-son David MASSECAR predeceased him. Loving grandfather to Mark BAUN and wife Mary Anne of Bath, and Kismet BAUN of Toronto. A great-grandfather to Jennifer and Stephen MASSECAR of Calgary and Michael and Bradley COLE of Bath. He will be sadly missed by special sister-in-law Shirley BEEMER. Cremation has taken place.
