Peacefully at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Wiarton with her family by her side was delivered into the arms of Jesus on Saturday morning August 25, 2007. The former Shirley STEWARD/STEWART/STUART of Sauble Beach formerly of Rexdale in her 79th year. Loving wife of Doug ELLIS. Loved mother of Steven and his wife Deborah of Guelph, Debra and her husband Ray LE CLAIR of Rexdale, Tim and his wife Margaret of Brampton and her son-in-law Glen ARD of Clavering. Lovingly remembered by her seven grandchildren Jamie, Jaclyn and her husband Matt, Rebecca and her husband Matt, Christopher, David, Nicole and Michelle and her three great-grandchildren Cameron, Nyah and Callum. Dear sister of Wallace STEWARD/STEWART/STUART and his wife Lorena of Owen Sound. Dear sister-in-law of Ross ELLIS of Willowdale and Frances STARK of Port Elgin. Predeceased by her daughter Janice ARD (1987.) Friends may call at the Downs and son Funeral Home Hepworth Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted from the Sauble Christian Fellowship Church, Sauble Beach Tuesday afternoon at 2: 00 p.m. with Pastor David OPPERTSHAUSER officiating. Interment Starkvale Cemetery, Paisley. Expression of remembrance to the Sauble Christian Fellowship, Building Fund, Vision 2002 (Sauble Area Medical Clinic) Sauble Beach or the Cancer Society would be appreciated. Peacefully at Briton House, Toronto on August 6 2007, after a full, active and happy life lived with grace and great style. She has gone to join her beloved husband Addison (1987). She will be truly missed by her daughter, Maribell WHITE/WHYTE and sons Addison, Ralph (Louise), and Lloyd (Bibiane), her grandchildren Lorelei NARDI (Musi), Jennifer NESS (Mitch), Bradley WHITE/WHYTE (Margie), Graham, Ryan and Kristin TALLMAN, Anisa and Justin TALLMAN and Michelle (Mick) GARDNER, and her eight great-grandchildren who gave her great joy. She is also survived by her brothers Walter ARD (Linda,) and Lawrence ARD (Helga.) She was very active in Port Nelson Church in Burlington, The Big Sisters Association and Garden Club of Burlington, and was truly a sweet, loving lady who was devoted to her family and loved playing bridge and entertaining. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Briton House for their care and compassion in her latter days. Cremation has taken place with a private service to be held at a later date.

Arden Frederick PIDGEN
In Loving Memory of Arden Frederick PIDGEN who died peacefully at his home on Monday, January 22, 2007 at the age of 81.
A WW2 Veteran, Lance Corporal ARDEN was in the second wave in Normandy. Arden worked for 40 years at Robin Hood Flour Mill, in Port Colborne. He started the dart and horseshoe leagues, was an avid bowler and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion in Port Colborne. He joined the Gore Bay Legion upon retiring in Silver Water. Born to Sophrona (née HARPER) and Harry PIDGEN on May 22, 1925 in Providence Bay. Cherished husband of 60 years to Vivian (née LOVELACE.) Loved father of Clayton and wife Linda of Welland, Ken and wife Lori of Saint Catharines, Ron and wife Barbara of Orillia, Lloyd and wife Kathi of Anaheim, California, Doug and wife Sue of Port Colborne, Arlene and husband Alan McCAULEY of Welland. Special grandfather of Jennifer (husband Jason D'ANNA), James (wife Nancy), Jason, Jeffery, Amanda, Laura, Sarah, Valerie (husband Remington NOSS), Lisa, Erik, Ellen, Vivian Erika (predeceased), Hailey, Caitlyn and great grandfather of Cameron and Logan. Visitation was from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 pm, Thursday. Funeral Service was at 11 am, Friday, January 26, 2007 at Island Funeral Home. Burial in the spring in Silver Lake Cemetery.

ARDILL, Lynne Carole (1942-2007)
We are sad to announce the death of Lynne ARDILL on October 31st after a brief battle with cancer. Lynne was the beloved wife of Peter ARDILL, dear mother to Peter John ARDILL (Christina) and Jennifer ARDILL (Stephen) loving grandmother to Samantha, Kaitlyn and Matthew. Lynne is survived by her Mother Elsie TAIT/TAITE/TATE and Brothers David (Grace) and John. Lynne taught with enthusiasm for 21 years in Aurora. Retiring to Collingwood Lynne skied at Craigleith Ski Club, played tennis, bridge and sang with Sweet Adelines. Lynne was recently recognized as a 20 year volunteer of the Cancer Society. Thanks to Doctor B. MARSHALL and nurses for their wonderful care. A celebration of life will be held November 8th 2 p.m. at Craigleith Ski Club South Lodge. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Collingwood General and Marine Hospital.
