Passed away peacefully at her home in Chester, Nova Scotia on August 21st, 2007 in her 94th year. Born in Truro, Nova Scotia, Peggy was the only child of Warren and Maud (SCOTT) OGILVIE and of her stepmother Rita (OGILVIE) MATHERS. Peggy was predeceased by her husband Stewart SAINT_GEORGE (2002) and by her first husband Michael DWYER (1960.) She will be greatly missed by her stepdaughter Judy WADDELL (Peter) of Mayne Island, British Columbia, her nephews Anthony NICHOLS (Rosemary) of Aurora, Ontario and David NICHOLS of Bright's Grove, Ontario, her niece Cindy MERRETT (Brian) of Montreal, P.Q. and Sandra MATTHEWS (Malcolm) of Chester, Nova Scotia The family wishes to thank Diane Lawlor and Sylvia and Wally Brown for their care and attention over many years both in Chester and Halifax. Daughter of the late Charles and Evelina “Evie” (REID) CRAMP of St. Vincent Township. Loved and loving mother and mother-in-law of Ruth Ann and Gord WESTOVER of Harriston, Ivan and Catharine HOUSE of Palmerston, and Ilene HOUSE (late Dennis HOUSE) of Saint Thomas. Doting grandmother of Laura, David, Ted, Brad, John, and J.D. and proud great-grandmother of Brenna, Ian, Lucas and Dante. Dear sister of Roy and Audrey CRAMP of Nepean, and Muriel and Harold MERRIFIELD of Meaford and also survived by sisters-in-law Ethel CRAMP of Edmonton, Alberta, Hazel HOUSE of Owen Sound and Terry HOUSE of Lunenburg, Nova Scotia. Passed away peacefully on November 20th, 2007, at Toronto Grace Hospital in his 75th year after a brief illness with Leukemia. Beloved husband of Gwen Margaret Ellen MERRILL (née WARTMAN) for 52 years, son of the late Eric and Helen MERRILL (GLOVER,) proud father to Brent and Craig, brother to Glenn and Jane (BAIRD,) brother-in-law to Lawrence and Leona CROCKER (WARTMAN) and cherished uncle of many nieces, nephews and grand nieces/nephews. Born in the farming community of Warkworth, Ontario, John moved to Toronto and began his career with the Toronto Police Force in 1954 as a 3rd class constable at One Division. He served his city for over 28 years in various capacities at divisions 14, 32, 41 and 3 district as a uniformed and plain clothes officer. His favourite assignment was the time spent in plain clothes as a detective. He retired from the force in 1981, having achieved the rank of staff sergeant. Not one to sit idly by, he further honed his investigative skills with the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, joining their Corporate Security Division in 1982 and retiring for the final time in 1995. Our father's bigger than life personality, love of his Friends, caring for his family and financial leadership to all of us will be sorely missed. Friends may call on Wednesday, November 21st and Thursday, November 22nd from 6-9 p.m. and Friday, November 23rd from 12 noon at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge Street at Goulding, south of Steeles). Passed peacefully at the Hotel Dieu Shaver Hospital on Thursday, July 26, 2007, in his 77th year. Beloved husband and companion on life's journey, of Sheila Marie (née HANDLEY) since June 1, 1957. Dearest father of Barbara (Russ) GOLDING, Dan (Dorothy,) Judith (Manny) KYRINIS, Paul (Laurielle.) Grampa to Cameron and Bradley GOLDING, Zachary, James and Grace ALLAN, Jack, Henry and Beatrice ALLAN, Papa to Michael, Andrew and Emma KYRINIS. Predeceased by son James MERRITT (1977,) parents Robert and Elizabeth, and siblings Alec, Hilda (Howard) CUNNINGHAM, Betty (Jack) GARLAND, Sheila (Jack) Fair (Stan) SKAFTE. Bob was born and educated in St. Catharines, and attended the University of Toronto Faculty of Pharmacy where he graduated in 1956. Upon graduation, Bob returned to St. Catharines and was employed in local pharmacies until 1970 when he purchased the former Stewart's Pharmacy in West St. Catharines. In 1987, he presided in the founding of Premiere Pharmacies Inc. which operated four pharmacies in St. Catharines until 1991. Bob was a former president of the Gyro Club of St. Catharines, the St. Catharines Club and the St. Catharines Golf and Country Club also served on the Board of the former Hotel Dieu Hospital. Bob served on the Niagara District Health Council from 1997 to 2000 and was a long-time member of the Board of Directors of Canadian Automobile Association Niagara, acting as chair from 1987 to 1989. Bob was also on the Board of Directors of the Atlantis Golf Club in Florida where he and Sheila enjoyed many Friendships, the great winter weather, and of course, the golf. A founding member of St. Julia's Parish, Bob served as an usher for many years. We wish to express our thanks to Doctor Preston ZULIANI and staff and the many caregivers from the Community Care Access Centre and Red Cross for their kindness and support these last few months. The family will receive visitors at George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, on Sunday between the hours 7-9 and on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Vigil prayers will be held at 7 p.m. in the funeral home on Monday. Died on September the 8th, 2007 at Montreal General Hospital. He loved his wife Sylvia May BRUMBY, a dear father to his sons Warren (Debra) and Clarke (Dorothea), beloved Poppa of Jonathan and Christopher. Clarke MERRITT was born on May 16, 1915 in Grimsby, Ontario, he grew up in Chateauguay, Québec, and then in Verdun, Québec. He was educated at McDonald College, Sir George William and McGill University Medical School. He practiced Dentistry in Westmount and Van Kleek Hill, Ontario. He helped children at the Shriners Hospital. He and Sylvia retired to Ayers Cliff by the Lake, where he taught Jonathan how to fish.

It is with great sadness that the family announce the death of the beloved husband of Beatrice Norsworthy MURPHY, father of Alex (Jean BAYLIS) and their children Laura, Greg and Sandra Kippy and her children Heather (Tim MERRITT,) Dan▼ and Emily Georgie (David SCOTT) and their children Andrew, Greg (Laura SHULA) and Carrie; Gail (Ron PEROWNE) and their children Fred, Lisa (Ed CLAYTON,) and Charlie (Denise PENZAK) and their children Savhana and Ronan; David (Robin SHAPIRO) and their children Jessica and Victoria. He was also like a father to Betty Berman Levin and friend and mentor to so many others. David MURPHY was a Captain in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, and served on the H.M.C.S. Lady Nelson as a surgeon and later at the Montreal Military Hospital. He was an early pioneer in Paediatric Cardiovascular surgery, Professor of Medicine at McGill University, Surgeon-in-Chief at The Montreal Children's Hospital from 1954-1982, Past President and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a member of the British, French and American Societies of Paediatric Surgeons.

It is with great sadness that the family announce the death of the beloved husband of Beatrice Norsworthy MURPHY, father of Alex (Jean BAYLIS) and their children Laura, Greg and Sandra Kippy and her children Heather (Tim MERRITT,) Dan▲ and Emily Georgie (David SCOTT) and their children Andrew, Greg (Laura SHULA) and Carrie; Gail (Ron PEROWNE) and their children Fred, Lisa (Ed CLAYTON,) and Charlie (Denise PENZAK) and their children Savhana and Ronan; David (Robin SHAPIRO) and their children Jessica and Victoria. He was also like a father to Betty Berman LEVIN and friend and mentor to so many others. David MURPHY was a Captain in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps, and served on the H.M.C.S. Lady Nelson as a surgeon and later at the Montreal Military Hospital. He was an early pioneer in Paediatric Cardiovascular surgery, Professor of Medicine at McGill University, Surgeon-in-Chief at The Montreal Children's Hospital from 1954-1982, Past President and Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and a member of the British, French and American Societies of Paediatric Surgeons.

Loving father of Aunderia and her husband Ken BOYD, of Cambridge. Cherished grandfather of Jennifer (Todd SUTHERLAND,) of Kitchener, and Sara (Josh MERWIN,) of Tonawanda, New York. Great-grandfather of Kayla, Benjamin, and Abigail. Dear brother of Pearl (Bert HOPKINS,) of Tobermory. Sadly missed by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bob ZARNKE, Albert SMITH (Gloria), Mardy (Andy ANDERSON), and Lola CRAIGIE; nieces; nephews; and many Friends. Predeceased by his brother Cliff CRAIGIE, and sister Elsie ZARNKE. Sgt. Thomas A.E. HOPKINS served with the Highland Light Infantry of Canada from 1940 to 1946.
