In London on Saturday, December 23, 2006, with the courage and
gentleness that guided her life, Fern passed away peacefully
surrounded by her family. Predeceased by her husband Maurice
John NEEDHAM, 1974. Fern will be lovingly remembered by her children

and nana to Chad and Lauren

Clayton,
Joshua,
Sarah and
Katie NEEDHAM.
She is survived by her sisters Dorothy
NEEDHAM
and Lorna McSPADDEN
(Earl) and predeceased by her brother, Clayton.
Fern's lifelong passion for horses led her to establish Arva
Crest Farm. With determination she fulfilled her dream, guiding,
Arva Crest AgoGo to become one of Canada's best trotting horses.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the funeral service
which will be conducted on Wednesday, December 27, 2006 at 1: 00 p.m.
at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North. Interment
at Medway Cemetery, 10 Mile Road, London Township. The family
wish to thank the exceptional and compassionate care of the nurses
on sixth floor, Palliative Care, L.H.S.C. In lieu of flowers,
please make donations in Fern's memory to the Canadian Cancer
Society or to the charity of choice. Online condolences can be

At the request of the late Mr.
WESTENBERG there will be no funeral
home visitation. Cremation has taken place. A private family
graveside service will be held at a later date. Donations to
the Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest or Toronto Humane
Society would be appreciated by the family. Funeral arrangements
entrusted to the Hendrick Funeral Home, Mount Forest.
