HILHORST, Cathy " Toos" (née VAN BUSSEL)
Peacefully surrounded by family at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital, after a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday January 28th, 2006 Cathy "Toos" HILHORST (née VAN BUSSEL) of Mt. Brydges in her 73rd year. Beloved wife of Gerry HILHORST. Loving mother of Grace (John) WIRA of London, Henry (Kelly,) Joan HILHORST, Alida (Jerry) WOLFF and Jane (Allan) DOANE all of Mt. Brydges. Dear Oma of Kyle and Jennifer, Rebecca and Eric, Amanda, Jason, Emily and Brianna, Sydney and Jordan. Sadly missed by many brothers and sisters who immigrated to Canada from the Netherlands together in the 1950's. Friends may call at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, Mt. Brydges on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Prayers to be said Monday evening at 6: 30 p.m. Funeral Mass to be celebrated from Sacred Heart Parish, Delaware on Tuesday commencing at 11 a.m. with Father Frank MURPHY officiating. Interment Sacred Heart Cemetery, Mt. Brydges. In lieu of flowers donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.

At St. Joseph's Lifecare Centre, Brantford on Sunday, January 1, 2006, in his 81st year, Sandy SANDERSON, dearly beloved husband of Virginia "Ginny" SANDERSON (née CAIRNS.) Loving father to three sons and their families Gordon (Irene), Dan (Jody), Douglas (Liz,) and four daughters and their families Jane (Ken) PRICE, Diane (Bryan) O'GORMAN, Celia (Marvin) WIRCH, Audrey SANDERSON and their mother, Marjorie SANDERSON. Much loved by Ginny's sons and their families, David (Jill) HAIGHT, Mark (Stacey) HAIGHT, Michael (Stacey) HAIGHT. Also left to mourn are three brothers and one sister in England and sister Eva (Joe) ERWIN of Burlington and their families. Predeceased by brothers Gordon, Ronald and Desmond, a son Vincent and two grand_sons Angus and Jess. Friends will be received at the McCleister Funeral Home, 495 Park Road North, Brantford on Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Service at Heritage United Church, 360 Colborne Street, Brantford on Thursday at 1: 30 p.m. with cremation to follow. The family of the late Louise WIRSTA (SCHOPE) would like to thank Friends and relatives for their support and concern through Louise's illness. We would like to thank those who called, sent flowers, food and donations. Thank you to the nurses of the Hanover Hospital. Special thanks to all the staff at The Currie Funeral Home in Chatsworth. Of Saint Thomas, on Friday, January 6, 2006, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 82nd year. Beloved husband of the late Margaret Janet (SUGG) PATERSON and dearly loved father of John and his wife Marilyn PATERSON of Bahrain, Middle East, David and his wife Luise PATERSON of France, Patricia and her husband Gordon WIRTH of Mississauga and Anne PATERSON of Saint Thomas. Predeceased by a sister Margaret PATERSON. Dear uncle of Anna and family. Bill was born in Beil Mill, East Lothian, Scotland on January 14, 1924, the son of the late James and Anna STANHOUSE) PATERSON. He worked for Union Gas and moved to Saint Thomas in 1980. He was a member of Knox Presbyterian Church, the Men's Brotherhood of Knox Church, served in the R.A.F. from 1942-1947, was a former chief instructor of the 296 Air Cadets, Galt, was a field naturalist and assisted with the Bird and Butterfly count, a member of various photography clubs and was a volunteer at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital. A Public Memorial service will be held at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas on Friday, January 20, 2006 at 1: 00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Remembrances may be made to the charity of choice.
