Suddenly, on March 19th, 2006 at William Osler Health Centre, Etobicoke. Born March 29th, 1933, son of the late Joseph McKIM and Jean LANGTON. Beloved▼ husband of Judith (McKAY.) Loving father of Heather HAYWOOD (Andrew), Stephen LANGTON, and Tracey LANGTON (Owen SCHNEIDER.) Dearest▼ grandfather 'Ba' of Christopher and Meghan LANGTON, and Ian and Austin HAYWOOD. Predeceased▼ by his sister Mary WEALE. John▼ was an avid sailor and a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Yacht Club where in younger years he spent many summers racing his favourite dinghy, the I14. He had a long career in the printing and paper business where he started Toronto Metropolitan Paper Company Ltd., which he operated successfully for 30 years. He was one of the founders of Holy Trinity School and served as its founding Chair for 10 years. He maintained his interest in the school right to present day and was looking forward to its upcoming 25th anniversary. Friends may call at the Morley Bedford Funeral Home, 159 Eglinton Avenue West (2 stoplights west of Yonge Street), on Thursday, March 23rd from 5-8 p.m. A faithful servant of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 30 Brooke Street, Thornhill, where his funeral service will be held on Friday, March 24th, 2006 at 10: 30 a.m. Interment in Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Married to his loving and devoted wife Jeanne Eleanor (née LAIDMAN) for nearly 60 years. The loving and devoted father to James F. PAULIN and Elizabeth 'Beth' A. PAULIN; Caring grandfather to his much loved grandchildren James K. PAULIN and Dawn E. (née PAULIN) BAKER and husband Jason, and great-grandchildren Severen PAULIN and Tessalynn BAKER. Remembered by daughter-in-law Marlene PAULIN and her children Heather KERR and Amanda (nee KERR) WEARE, her husband Kurt and their son Ethan. Ken served in the 2nd World War with U.S.A.F., 1942-45 as Staff Sergeant; after war service McQuay Norris Manufacturing Co. Ltd., 1946-50. From 1950, as elected Director, appointed as General Manager, Director 1956 and then as President from 1957 until 1990 at the Company his father, F.W. PAULIN, founded in 1914, Canadian Engineering and Contracting Co. Ltd. The Company's motto became 'we work with pride,' which epitomized his dedication and integrity in the profession. Memberships: Scottish Rite (30 years), Advisory Board, Canada Perm. Trust, Chamber of Commerce, Hamilton Art Gallery. Past President of Ontario Federation Construction Association, Hamilton Construction Association, Ontario General Contractors Association, Kiwanis Club Inc. Hamilton, Metropolitan Board Hamilton Young Men's Christian Association (1972-74 and 1989), Hamilton Golf and Country Club, where he was an avid golfer for many years, Hamilton Club, Hamilton Thistle Club, Hamilton Tiger-Cat Quarterback Club, Chairman of the Board - Central Presbyterian Church (1968-69). Recipient of Ontario General Contractors Association / H.D. Clohecy Award for his time and energy devoted to the betterment of the Construction Industry. 1997 inducted Construction Hall of Fame. Crash kills two: Single-vehicle accident may have occurred hours before wreckage found

Craigleith - Speed and alcohol contributed to a fatal collision which killed two Toronto teenagers on the Easter weekend, police say.
The wrecked car with two bodies was found early Saturday morning near Craigleith on Highway 26 near what police called "a bad corner."
Dead are Mykata VASLYNKO, 18, and his passenger Natalie HINCU, Speed and alcohol were both contributing factors in the fatal collision, Collingwood Ontario Provincial Police said in a news release Sunday.
The single motor vehicle accident happened just west of Craigleith Provincial Park. The scene was discovered by a local resident as he pulled off the road onto the shoulder to turn into his driveway at about 7 a.m. He called for help and Collingwood Ontario Provincial Police and Georgian Ambulance responded.
The exact time of the accident is unknown, but sons of the man who called police told their mother they heard a huge crash at about 11 p.m. the night before during a thunder and lightning storm.
Believing the noise was thunder, they did not investigate.
Constable Mark KINNEY of the Huronia West Ontario Provincial Police said police were still investigating.
The 1997 black Ford Probe skidded an estimated 200 metres before going into the ditch on the north side of the road where it hit a tree. The resulting crash sent pieces of the car a few hundred feet. The tree broke in half.
Police crews were still at the scene at 1 p.m. Sunday and Highway 26 was closed between Craigleith park and Grey Road 40 for several hours.

Born in Hagersville, Ontario on February 28, 1916 daughter of the late Edgar and Annie (HANSON) WEAVER. Mabel was one of Jehovah's Witnesses: and had retired from the Aylmer Post Office. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Mabel's life will be held at a later date. Passed away September 6, 2006 in his 74th year. Gerry was the loving son of the late Herbert and Mary WEAVER. He is survived by his sister Frances POWER (John,) brother Bert (Eleanor) and many nieces and nephews. Gerry was predeceased by his brothers William and Maurice (Connie) and his sisters Adele BENNINGER (the late Alf) and Irene PHILLIPS (the late George.) Gerry was a long time employee of the Ministry of Transportation. Burial will take place Saturday, October 7th at 2 p.m. at Mount Hope Cemetery, Toronto.
