Missing teen's body pulled from creek
By Chris DOUCETTE, Sun Media, Fri., December 22, 2006
Toronto -- The young man pulled from a creek at Pearson airport
this week has been identified as a 19-year-old who went missing
nearly two months ago, Peel Police say.
Hardik VYAS, of Brampton, disappeared October 29 after a night
out drinking with Friends.
"It looks like this is a death by misadventure or an accidental
drowning," Const. Pete
BRANDWOOD said yesterday, adding an autopsy
had concluded the teen drowned.
VYAS and his Friends left the Frigate and Firkin Bar on Queen
Street with plans to head to a nearby Tim Hortons.
He became separated from his Friends just east of Hwy. 410 and
it's believed he fell into a creek.
His disappearance sparked an extensive search.
Investigators believe
VYAS was swept downstream several kilometres
after a heavy rain.
Workers digging out a culvert, between Courtneypark and Brittania
roads, stumbled upon the teen's body in Etobicoke Creek Monday.

discovered in a creek running through Pearson International Airport
on Monday.
A maintenance crew at the airport contacted police after spotting
the male body in the Etobicoke Creek.
An autopsy conducted the following day determined that 19-year-old
Hardik VYAS died as a result of drowning.
Investigators are still awaiting a toxicology report.
VYAS was the subject of a large-scale missing-person investigation
after he disappeared shortly after leaving a Brampton pub with
Friends on October 29th.
