Peacefully at Seaforth Community Hospital on Monday, May 8, 2006, Joost VEENSTRA of R.R.#5, Clinton in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Hilda (DE BOER) VEENSTRA. Loving father of Greta and Aart DE VOS of R.R.#4, Wingham; Bonnie and Jack ROSS of R.R.#1, Bluevale Joe VEENSTRA and Debbie CAMPBELL of R.R.#4, Clinton; Arthur and May VEENSTRA of R.R.#4, Clinton and Wilma VEENSTRA of R.R.#5, Clinton. Loved and sadly missed by eight grandchildren Greg and Jade DE VOS, Allen DE VOS, Nicole and Chris CASEMORE, Angela and Scott McPHERSON, Austin, Lateesha, Dylan and Savannah VEENSTRA and by four great grandchildren. Dear brother of Betty and Jack LEYSTRA of Wyoming, Rinske and Jochum VAN DER MEULEN and Hans and Witske VEENSTRA all of The Netherlands. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends will be received at the Falconer Funeral Homes Ltd. -- Clinton Chapel on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at the Clinton Christian Reformed Church on Thursday, May 11, 2006 at 2: 00 p.m. with Reverend Jack QUARTEL officiating. Our dear wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died in her sleep June 15, 2006 in Brampton, Ontario, after a long, slow and painful descent into very old age. Born in Hoogeveen, the Netherlands, February 19, 1915, she emigrated to Canada in 1954 with her husband and children. We will always remember her strong will, determination and uncompromising standards. She faced many hardships and dealt with them to the very best of her abilities. Husband Hendrik; daughter Jane and Michael MOORE son John and Shirley VOS; grandchildren Alex (Nicolette,) Megan (Jonathan) and Oliver (Katrina) MOORE, and Eric and David VOS great-grandchildren Sam MOORE, Jacob and Joshua RICHARDS. ALKSNYS, Ignas (September 25, 1941-February 7, 2006)
Passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 7th, 2006, with his loving and devoted wife by his side. He was a gentle man and a gentleman who always found joy in all aspects of his life. Ignas received his Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Toronto and his M.B.A. from York. He was always spiritually motivated by the works of Deepak Chopra and Og Mandino. An avid tennis player with a keen sense of fun and competition, Ignas was the cherished husband and best friend of Barbara VOSBOURGH. Predeceased by his beloved parents, Ignas and Bonaventura ALKSNYS. Dear brother of Birute (B.C.) and Klemas (Lithuania). Dear brother-in-law of Wayne VOSBOURGH (Jackie), Wanda RADMORE (Ron), Art McALLISTER (late Sandra) and their families. Sincere thanks to Sheila MacLEAN, primary Victorian Order of Nurses, and her team of dedicated nurses and the Personal Support Workers for their compassionate care throughout Ignas' illness. At University Hospital, London on Thursday, April 27, 2006. Richard William "Bill" REED of Goderich in his 58th year. Beloved husband of Rita F. (VOSKAMP) REED and the late Phyllis A. (HEALY) REED. Dear father of Veronica "Ronnie" KENEHAN of Stratford, Teresa "Terri" VAN REENEN and her husband Jason of Redford, Michigan and Sean VOSKAMP and his wife Rhonda of Kitchener. Dear brother of Alan REED and his wife Berverley of Wingham, Phyllis STALLARD and her husband David, Valerie COLLINS, Robert REED, Tim REED and his wife Alice and Clive REED and his wife Sandra all of London. Also loved by his grandchildren, Ashley, Gregory, Cassandra, Bryan, Tyler, Dylan and Connor, his 14 nieces and nephews and his 5 great-nieces and great-nephews.
