RAIGLA,
Enn "
Andy"
(April 17th, 1920-July 2nd, 2006)
Passed away peacefully on July 2nd, 2006. He was 86. Beloved
husband of Linda, father of Mart (Wynn), step-father of Rein
VORNE
(Reni and grandkids Alex and Robbie.) Born in Estonia,
Enn was a rising soccer star until World War 2 turned his life
upside down. After surviving Siberia and displaced persons camps,
he emigrated to Canada after the war and settled in Kirkland
Lake, Ontario. He worked in the gold mines of this booming town
for several years before moving his family to Toronto in 1960.
He worked as a statistician for a survey company for 8 years
and then for the Province of Ontario for 17 years, before retiring
in 1985 at the age of 65. Enn enjoyed all sports, was a die-hard
Blue Jay fan, and became an avid golfer at the age of 50. He
loved to tell jokes and was a prankster at heart. He will be
dearly missed by all those who knew him. Thank you to the nurses
and caregivers at Leisureworld Etobicoke for their care and compassion.
Donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada would be appreciated.
A private memorial for the family will take place.
