Peacefully went home to be with her Lord on Sunday, February
12, 2006 at Central Place Lodge in Owen Sound in her 97th year.
The former Adriana
HERREWYNEN was the beloved wife of the late
Jacob VLIELANDER, who predeceased her in November of 1985. She
was the loving mother of Alice
VANDERPLOEG and her husband Ralph,
Cornelius VLIELANDER and his wife
Fay and Leonard
VLIELANDER.
Her memory will be cherished in the hearts of her 10 grandchildren
and her 11 great-grandchildren. Also survived by a sister-in-law
Annie VLIELANDER in the Netherlands. She was predeceased by all
12 of her brothers and sisters. Friends are invited to call at
the Currie Funeral Home in Chatsworth for visitation on Tuesday
afternoon and evening, 2: 00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m.,
thence to the First Christian Reformed Church where the funeral
service for Adriana
VLIELANDER will be conducted on Wednesday
morning at 11: 00 a.m. Reverend George
HOLTHOF will officiate. Interment:
Greenwood Cemetery, Owen Sound. As expressions of sympathy, if

70th year. Beloved wife of Len and dear mother of Kim. Sheila
will be greatly missed by her many extended family members and
Friends. Visitation will be held on Monday from 7: 00-9:00 p.m.
at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, where
the funeral service will be conducted on Tuesday, March 14th,

Victor was born in Truro, Nova Scotia on January 1,
1928. A keen participant in life, teacher, lover of music, friend
to many, who was loved by all and will be sorely missed. A memorial
service will be held at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home and
Chapel, 280 St. David St. S., Fergus on Saturday, January 14,
2006 at 11: 30 a.m. with Reverend
VLIESTRA officiating at the service.

In keeping with Louise's wishes, cremation will be followed by
a family memorial service and inurnment at Riverside Cemetery
in Toronto, at a later date. For those who wish, memorial donations
may be made to the Kingston Hospitals Joint Advancement (Kingston
General Hospital) or the Canadian National Institute for the
Blind. (Donations by cheque only please). Louise was a nurse
to the very end. She will be sorrowly missed but always remembered.
The family wishes to thank all of the Kingston General Hospital
staff who met Louise, and especially the nurses and doctors in
Kidd 3 step-down unit. You were attentive, caring, and wonderful.

Mother died on December 16, 2006 at Toronto East General Hospital.
Peggy was born the fourth of four children in Toronto on August
13, 1921, to most beloved parents the Reverend and Mrs. B.W.
THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON
(Eva
LOW/LOWE/LOUGH of Renfrew, Ontario.) Secondary schooling occurred
in Kingston, Ontario, after which she graduated from Queen's
University in 1943. In 1944, she attended the College of Education
in Toronto, later teaching at Renfrew Collegiate, South Collegiate
in London, Ontario, and Western Technical School in Toronto.
From 1964 to 1986, Peggy taught at Leaside High School (Toronto).
After her marriage to Bill
DEVITT in 1947, they moved to Leaside
where they raised their three children, Bill, Patricia (Pat)
and Peggy-Anne. Immediately they became active in the community,
at school, church and in sporting events. Having lived in Leaside
for over fifty years, Peggy cherished her life-long Friends and
neighbours. She was grateful for the warmth of their affection,
in particular the staff and students at Leaside High School,
her very close Friends at Northlea United Church, where she was
an active member. In 1964, Peggy faced a sudden challenge, her
husband died at age 45. Mother's indomitable spirit, and courage,
her work ethic and the dedication to her loving children remained
steadfast. Peggy resumed her teaching career at Leaside High
School in 1964. She had many Friends and a wide range of interests
such as The Book Club, music, theatre and her secret passion
for sports and athletics scarcely ever missing a game on television.
Much of the family socializing over the years occurred at the
cottage on Danforth Lake, Quebec where her children and grandchildren
have such fun and good times. In 1994, Peggy married Caryle
WOODSIDE,
a former Queen's University friend, who died suddenly in 1997.
She is predeceased by her two husbands, two brothers, sister
Evelina "Ev" (1985) and her daughter Patricia (1987). She will
be lovingly remembered by her families Bill and Glynis

5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, December 19, 2006. The funeral service will
be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2006 in Northlea
United Church, 125 Brentcliffe Road, Toronto. Interment Mount
