KAULBACK,
Dale
Ann (née
UBA) (April 26, 1955-March 30, 2006)
Since mid-October, Dale's sudden, unexpected illness has shocked
and saddened us all. Dale died at her home, surrounded by her
loved ones, after a courageous, but futile struggle with liver
cancer. Dale lived a rich, rewarding life - loving mother to
Devin and happily married to adoring husband, Richard. April 4
would have been the celebration of 31 wonderful years together.
Dale's many interests included art, music and travel, with a
particular fondness and attachment to experiences out west, Nova
Scotia, and her numerous trips to Cuba and Mexico. Her life was
characterized by her warmth and deep devotion both to her family
and to her profession. Dale was a respected teacher in Peel,
working diligently for most of her career in the service of the
children she taught at Miller's Grove Public School in Mississauga.
Daughter of the late Stephen and Ann
UBA, this loss is also shared
by all her dear Friends and family: brothers Grant (Meg) and
Stephen (Caroline), sister Carol (Peter); beloved daughter-in-law
of Grant and Hilda
KAULBACK; sadly missed by Richard's brother
Brent (Marilyn) and sister Lynn (Rob), and all of Dale's wonderful
nieces and nephews. The family extends a heartfelt thank you
to all the colleagues at both schools (Miller's and Streetsville
Secondary School), to our loyal and thoughtful Friends, to Care
Partners, Doctors Wong, Sauls, Hudson and Anglin and the many
caregivers and nurses who allowed Dale to remain at home in comfort
until the peaceful hour of her passing. The support, love and
countless acts of kindness have been overwhelming. Buoyed by
the many dreams and untiring passions she shared with Richard
and Devin, her healthy, fulfilling life was interesting and joyous
as long as it lasted. Believe us, Dale, your sweet spirit will
whisper in our hearts forever. Darling, your absence will not
diminish the love we have for you - not ever. Here's to our 12,000 days,
my love. In honour of Dale's remarkable but abbreviated life
as a wife, mother and dedicated educator there will be a gathering
for all to attend on Tuesday, April 11 at 7: 00 p.m. at Eden United
Church (corner of Battleford and Winston Churchill). If desired,
in lieu of flowers, donations to the Palliative Care Unit of
Credit Valley Hospital, 905-813-4123.
