Peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2006 at the Toronto East General Hospital at the age of 68. Beloved wife of Mike SYVULICK. Dearly loved mother of Janette McKNIGHT. Cherished grandmother of Katelin and Hayden McKNIGHT. Will be remembered by her brother Bill PROKOP and his wife Wanda. Beloved daughter of Sophie TYMCHUK. A memorial service will be held at the Wignall Chapel of the G.H. Hogle Funeral Home, 62 Long Branch Avenue, Etobicoke on Friday, March 17, 2006 at 2: 00 p.m. followed by a reception. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

Of Peratyn, Ukraine, peacefully, on Tuesday, April 11, 2006, in his 82nd year. Predeceased by his wife Eva (on December 4, 2005). Beloved father of Mary and her husband Raymond, son Taras and his wife Kathryn. Grandfather of Laryssa and John Peter. Missed by cousin Sophie TYMINSKI, her late husband Robert William (2004), her children William, Robert, Michael and Carole (and husband Rick), and her grandchildren Ashley, Danielle and Eric nephew Ihor KOROSTENSKI and his wife Maria. Leaves behind family and Friends in Canada and the rest of the world. Resting at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette Street (Keele), on Friday, April 14th from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. Funeral Service at 12: 00 p.m. Saturday, April 15th, then to the Ukrainian Catholic Church of The Holy Protection on Leeds Street for Mass at 12: 30 p.m. Interment St. Volodymyr Cemetery, Oakville. EDDS, Patricia (née McCLURE) R.N. (February 1933-May 2006)
Her lifelong enjoyment of music, drama, baseball, gardening and overseas travel were all peacefully terminated by cancer on May 24, 2006. Daughter of Doctor Robert McCLURE, C.C., and Mrs. Amy McCLURE. Predeceased by her eldest daughter Elizabeth EDDS (MASTERS.) Survived by her husband of 45 years John A. EDDS, F.C.A.; their three children Margaret TYMSTRA (Jan,) Suzanne EDDS (Jeffery RAWSTHORNE) and Rob EDDS (Barbara DICKIE;) and her siblings Douglas McCLURE, Norah BUSBY and Jo TAILOR/TAYLOR. Patricia graduated as a Registered Nurse from the Mack Training School for Nurses (St. Catharines) class of 1955. A private family service has taken place. She donated her body to medical research at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Toronto. In accordance with her wishes there will not be any visitation. The funeral service will be the appropriate (most likely in 2007) annual ecumenical interment service held in June by the University of Toronto at the Church of Saint_James-the-less (adjoining Saint_James' Cemetery and Crematorium, 635 Parliament Street, Toronto). Persons wishing to attend the service should contact a family member in May 2007. Friends and relatives are invited to a reception at 178 St. David's Road, St. Catharines on Sunday June 4 from 1: 00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. as a celebration of Patricia's wonderful life. The family wishes to express their thanks to Dr. Hartman for her palliative support. Memorial donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.

Passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family on Sunday, April 2, 2006 in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Anna. Loved father of Luba (predeceased), Oksana and Dave, and Orest and Donna. Cherished grandfather of Christopher, Michelle, and Nadia. Will be sadly missed by his family in the Ukraine. Resting at the Cardinal Funeral Home, 92 Annette Street (near Keele), on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. Panachida 7 p.m. Funeral Service on Wednesday, April 5th at 9: 30 a.m., then to the Ukrainian Catholic Church of the Holy Protection (Leeds St.) for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Park Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
