Passed away peacefully on March 2, 2006 at the Etobicoke General Hospital, at the age of 70. Beloved wife of Mario for 46 years. Loving mother of Diego and Roni and his wife Josie. Devoted Nonna of Dante, Demi, Adam and Ryan. She will be sadly missed by relatives and Friends. Friends will be received at Ward Funeral Home, 4671 Hwy. 7 (west of Pine Valley Drive), Woodbridge, 905-851-9100 on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. A Funeral Mass will take place on Monday at St. David's Church, 2601 Major Mackenzie Drive, Maple at 10: 30 a.m. Entombment Beechwood Cemetery. Andy was an active member of Saint John's Anglican Church in Madoc for many years. Retired Bell Canada employee and telephone pioneer. He will be sadly missed by his loving family and Friends. Born in Sandwich South Township, son of the late Joseph and Minnie (RIDSDALE) BOOS. Beloved husband of Ruth (ANDERSON) BOOS for 52 years. Dear father of Lynda PANDUR and her husband Craig of London, and Donna McLAREN and her husband Jack of LaSalle. Grandfather of Aaron PANDUR and Erik McLAREN. Brother of Pearl SWEET of Essex, Ona and Ivan REEB of Essex, and the late Joseph BOOS, Bernard BOOS, Violet BOOS, Mary TONG, and Rosemarie BILLING. Son-in-law of Mrs. Helen ANDERSON of Port Glasgow and her late husband William. Brother-in-law of Carson and Glenny ANDERSON of R.R.#1 Muirkirk, Allan and Barbara ANDERSON of R.R.#2 Muirkirk, and Jean BOOS of Essex. Also survived by several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews. Donald retired after 30 years of service as a Police Officer with the London Police Services. SHARPE, Lavina Mae (née HOARE) (1913-2006)
Lavina Mae SHARPE died peacefully in the presence of family members in her 94th year, on December 11th after a long and gracious life. Mae was the devoted, loving wife of the late John Ernest SHARPE " Ernie" (b. 1904 - d. 1947.) She is the cherished, dedicated mother of James Arthur SHARPE. She is also survived by her beloved grandchildren Jason (Tanya,) Peter (Erin,) and Kathleen SHARPE. Dear great-grandmother (G.G. Mae) of Henry, Sophia, Zoe, and Georgia Mae. She also leaves dear nieces and nephews and younger Friends. Mae enjoyed her advanced years with the frequent company of her family. She was the oldest child of Arthur Levi HOARE and Florence (née TONKIN) HOARE of Oshawa, and was predeceased by her brother Jack (Vivian) and sisters Verona (Edward) MEADES and Grace (Harold) PICKERSGILL. Most of her years (68) were lived in Brantford. Her family expresses gratitude to the tender caregivers at her Toronto residence, the Balmoral Club, to Sprint, and to the medical team and ward staff of the Toronto Western Hospital who eased the course of her final days. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at 3 o'clock on Friday, December 15th (416-487-4523 or www.humphreymiles.com). Loving grandmother of 16; Michael LAWLESS, Lorraine LAWLESS, Diane TONKS (Ben), Jennifer HOPKINS, Jeffrey HOPKINS, Melanie Leger, Michael BIANCO Jr., Cody BIANCO, Brendan BIANCO, Andrea WERNHAM, Jim WERNHAM, Zachariah WERNHAM, Jeremiah WERNHAM, Chris ASARO, Shelly ASARO, Matthew ASARO and great-grandmother of 3; Callista, Carter, and Connor. Janet was a longtime employee of Croven Crystals, Whitby. She leaves many Friends at Meadow Park Retirement Lodge, London, Ontario. Passed away peacefully, at Toronto General Hospital, after a brief illness, in the presence of his beloved wife Anna and family. Chris will be greatly missed by his wife of 64 years and sons, Alan (Cecile) and Tom (Veronica), and grandchildren Christopher, Matthew, Alison, Tom and Alicia. Chris enjoyed over 40 years of public service, serving as Councillor, Deputy Reeve, Reeve and Alderman in the former Township, Borough and City of York. He was an honorary member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 57, a lifetime member of the Metropolitan Toronto Conservation Authority and active in the York Lions Club for over 40 years. Friends will be received at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave.), Weston, on Tuesday from 7-9 p.m. A family service will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2006.
