TIHANE,
Through tragedy and joy, the wonder of her life was that she
embraced it all. She wore many hats - mother, grandmother, great-grandmother,
wife, nurse, seamstress, gardener, first "lady" barber in Toronto.
She could whip up feasts for an army, stitch intricate needlework
and could just as easily be found, blowtorch in hand, fixing
pipes under the cottage. And she danced. Oh, how she danced!
On February 6th, 2006, our Mom, our hero, danced away to kinder
places. Be at peace Mom. Deepest thanks to the 4th floor staff
at Ehatare. Memorial service to be held in the chapel at Ehatare
Home for Senior Citizens, 40 Old Kingston Road, Scarborough,
Ontario M1E 3J5, on Friday, February 10 at 12: 30 p.m. If you
wish, donations to Ehatare (4th floor) or the Canadian Cancer
Society (Ajax branch) would be appreciated in lieu of flowers.
Saima (Bruce), Linda (Mike), Ellen (Ian), Kathy (Enzo), 12 grandchildren
and their spouses, 1 great-grandchild, John (Christina) and the
many who loved her. Predeceased by Ilmar.
