HACKETT, Gordon
Of Tobermory passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 5, 2006 at the Wiarton Hospital in his 80th year. Cherished husband of Jeanne and dear father of Bonnie DRURY of Orillia. He will be sadly missed by grand_sons Darrin McIVER of Newmarket, Ryan McIVER of Barrie and Shaun (Jennifer) McIVER of Toronto, great-grandchildren Jack James, Leah, Lorisa, Mallori and Matthew as well as brothers and sisters Glen (Marion) HEWTON of Priceville, Jim (Pam) BRIDGES of Winnipeg, Donna (Ken) BROWN of Ridgetown, Doreen CURRIE of London and Glenna TIFFIN of Ridgetown. Gordon was predeceased by his parents Alberta (GLENN) and Caswell HACKETT and one brother. The family will receive Friends at the Light and Life Chapel, Tobermory on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 from 1: 00 p.m. until time of the funeral service at 2: 00 p.m. with Pastor Jerry CLUBINE officiating. Interment Dunk's Bay Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the George Funeral Home, Wiarton. As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the Canadian Cancer Society or Canadian National Institute for the Blind would be appreciated by the family. TAFFEIREN, Andrew Charles
A resident of Chatham, passed peacefully Friday March 31, 2006 at Thamesview Lodge in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Anna Lillian (LIVINGSTON) TAFFEIREN for 62 years. son of the late Harry and Mary TAFFEIREN. Survived by sister Angie WHETSTONE of Guelph, as well as nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his brother Jim (2001,) and sister in law Jean TAFFEIREN (2005.) He resided for several years at Andy's Corners and in Port Rowan where he was a member of the Port Rowan Community Church. He was also a member of Walsingham Lodge #174, Mocha Temple in London and Long Point Chapter #166 Order of the Eastern Star. At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation or service. Following cremation there will be a private family inurnment at Maple Leaf Mausoleum, conducted by Pastor James TIFFIN of Chatham Baptist Church. Donations to the Tillsonburg Shrine Club in his memory will be gratefully acknowledged. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Bowman Funeral Home, 4 Victoria Ave., Chatham 519-352-2390. At University Hospital on Saturday, June 10, 2006, Elizabeth Charlotte (BARTON) BUTTS of London in her 77th year. Beloved mother of Erick Christopher (Janette), Lise Marie and Gregory George (Katherine). Loving grandmother of Arim, Elizabeth, Jennifer, Robert as well as 1 great-granddaughter Lexxus. Dear sister of Peggy HALPIN. Also survived by many nieces, nephews as well as her special Friends Suzanne TIFFIN (Rob) and their children Robbie, Andy and Mattie. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be conducted at the Westview Funeral Chapel, 709 Wonderland Road North, on Tuesday, June 13th, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. Those wishing to make a donation in memory of Elizabeth are asked to consider United Nations Children's Fund. EATON, Sherman Gerald
Peacefully at Sydenham Campus (Wallaceburg), on Wednesday, June 28, 2006, Sherman Gerald EATON, age 74 of Chatham, beloved husband of the late Edna (BROWN) EATON (1999.) Born in Middlesex County in 1931 son of the late Ethel WEST and Laurence EATON, Sherman worked as a Signal Maintainer for Canadian National Railway's until his retirement. Loving father of Bonnie MOORE and Mike of Dresden, Dan EATON and Michelle of Chatham. Sadly missed by grandchildren; James, Tina, Jared and Avery. Dear brother of Lee BARNES and husband Kenneth of Chatham and Bryan EATON and wife Mary Ellen also of Chatham. Sadly missed by several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a sister Patricia "Pat" JACKSON (May 26, 2006). Friends and relatives may call at the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, 156 William St. S. Chatham from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Sunday, July 2, 2006. Chapel Service will be conducted in the Hinnegan-Peseski Funeral Home, on Monday, July 3, 2006 at 10: 30 a.m. with Rev.
