THYNNE, Rev. R. Harold
Peacefully at Strathmere Lodge on Saturday July 15, 2006 Rev. R. Harold THYNNE, formerly of R.R.#3, Kerwood in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Helen (PATTERSON) of Kerwood. Dear stepfather of Bob PATTERSON (Donna) of Kerwood and Carmen PATTERSON (Judy) of Strathroy. Born in Oakville, Manitoba, December 22, 1920, Harold is survived by one brother Orville and one sister Eva of Calgary. Predeceased by his parents Roland and Minnie of Portage La Prairie, brothers Lawrence of Sarnia, Don of London, sisters Mary and Hazel of Portage. Survived by 2 sisters-in-law Enid of Sarnia and Julie of London and many nieces and nephews. He is also loved and missed by 7 step-grandchildren and 13 step-great-grandchildren. Harold was a retired Baptist Minister having many congregation both in province and out of province. His great strength in faith will be remembered by many of his congregations. Funeral services will be held from Denning Brothers Funeral Home, Strathroy, on Tuesday July 18th commencing at 1: 30 p.m. Visitation will be held on Monday July 17, from 7-9 p.m. Interment Strathroy Cemetery. Contributions to the Diabetic Association would be appreciated as your expression of sympathy by the family. A tree will be planted in loving memory of Harold.

THYS, Roger Marcel
Peacefully at Norview Lodge, Simcoe, on Thursday, May 4, 2006, Roger Marcel Thys of R.R.#2, Courtland, in his 84th year. Born in Ooegem, West Flanders, Belgium, November 20, 1922. Dear son of the late Remi THYS and the late former Pharilde LEFEVRE. Roger was an employee at the Tillsonburg Tabacco Warehouse, retiring after over 25 years. He is survived by his family in Belgium and will be missed by his many Friends in the surrounding area. Resting at the Verhoeve Funeral Home, 262 Broadway, Tillsonburg until Monday, May 8, 2006, thence to Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Tillsonburg for Mass of a Christian Burial at 10: 00 a.m. by Rev. Fr. Matthew GEORGE. Interment in Tillsonburg Cemetery. Memorial donations (by cheque only) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Canadian Diabetes Association. Visitation on Sunday 2: 00-4:00 and 7: 00-9:00 p.m. Parish Prayers Sunday at 3:00 p.m.

At University Hospital, on Friday, February 10, 2006, Simon Karel VAN DER WYNGAARD in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Pieternella VAN DER WYNGAARD. Dear father of Ingrid BOULTER (Richard) of London, Ellie O'SHAY/SHEA of Taylor, Michigan, Maria VAN DER WYNGAARD (Terry) of London, Johanna DESABRAIS (Richard) of Saint Thomas and Simon Johannes VAN DER WYNGAARD (Julie) of London. Brother of Sam VAN DER WYNGAARD (Margaret), Joanna O'BRIEN, Lydea THYSSEN, Rea TRAFFORD (Larry), Nellie THORNTON (Malcolm), Abraham VAN DER WYNGAARD (Linda), Susan SZEKERES (Louie), and Theresa BLAGO. Also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his son-in-law Donald O'SHAY/SHEA. Visitors will be received on Monday from 2: 00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. At the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. where the Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday at 11: 00 a.m. Interment will be private.
