DUNN,
David
Charles
(February 12, 1947-January 19, 2006)
On behalf of David, we would like to extend our sincere appreciation
to family and Friends for the cards, flowers, and donations to
The Heart and Stroke and Woodstock General Hospital. David's
path to reunite with his brothers, Paul and Randy began on Tuesday,
January 17th, 2006. Ken and Tracey, Paramedics from the Emergency
Medical Services responded quickly to the call for assistance.
David's massive stroke happened upon their arrival at 83 Kent
Street. Dr.
BROCKWAY and nurse Janet greeted him at the Woodstock
General Hospital. It was determined David needed medical attention
at University Hospital. Dianna and Joanna, Paramedics from the
Emergency Medical Services were responsible for transporting
David to London. Nurse Janet stayed with David throughout the
journey. At University Hospital David was cared for by the Intensive
Care
Unit team, Dr.
YOUNG and nurse Kamela. Our sincere thank
you to the Emergency Medical Services (Paramedics), Woodstock
General and University Hospital staff for their expertise and
compassion during a tragic time for our family. We will never
forget nurse Kamela's last words to David -- thank you Kamela.
A special thank you to John

In loving memory of Cheryl who passed away March 3, 1991.
God took your hand and we had to part,
He eased your pain, but broke our hearts.
Many a silent tear is shed,
When we are all alone.
When the day is sad and lonely
And everything goes wrong
We seem to hear you whisper
"Cheer up and carry on".
Although we smile and make no fuss,
No one misses you more than us.
Your presence we miss and memories we treasure,
We'll love you always and forget you never.
No length of time can take away
Our thoughts of you today.
Forever loved and sadly missed by Jim, Joshua and Brandon.

TAPSCOTT,
Don
Sr. (1919-2006)
Passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 27, 2006, in Toronto,
at the age of 87, after spending Christmas with his family. In
good spirits to the end, his family celebrates his rich and meaningful
life. He is survived by Mary, his loving wife of 60 years, sons
Don, Bob and Bill, and daughter Katharine; and by his adoring
grandchildren Niki and Alex; Madi and Marissa; and Emma - all
of whom inherited his zesty love of life. He is predeceased by
his son David. He will be missed by daughters-in-law Ana
LOPES,
Sharon SOLOMON and Laura
TURNER and son-in-law Tim
McINERNEY.
Don will be remembered as a leader whose followers appreciated
his generosity, his humour and, above all, his music. He was
a favourite teacher for the lucky students who studied French
and Phys. Ed. with him in Niagara Falls and Orillia. A talented
pianist and composer, he wrote beautiful songs, many inspired
by the love of his life Mary, and played in his dance bands for
40 years. Some of his compositions have been recorded by Canadian
jazz masters - including a studio session on December 22, which
he attended. These, along with the McMaster Alma Mater that he
composed in 1944, can be found at www.dontapscottsenior.com.
Don was also a superb athlete; McMaster golf champion, tennis
and hockey star. As a tireless community volunteer he was active
in the Rotary Club and the Golden Kiwanis, among other things,
conducting hundreds of his hallmark sing-songs for seniors and
others. His children have officially pronounced him 'Best Dad
Ever.' Thank you to the wonderful staff at Leisure World O'Connor
Court who cared for him in his final four years. We're sorry
the place won't be quite the same without the 'bon bon man.'
As for you Don (Dad, Beep, Papa), thank you for 'jumping to the
moon' for us. We 'love you more than all the horses, the crashed
cars and butterflies.' You'll always live on through us. The
family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles

from 3: 00-7:00 p.m. Friday, December 29. Funeral service in the
