TAGGART, Burbank Thomas " Tom"
At Parkwood Hospital on Saturday, May 20, 2006 Burbank Thomas "Tom" TAGGART (C.D.,) in his 87th year. Beloved husband of the late Lillian (SAWYER) TAGGART. Dear father of Diane BUCKLEY and Wilf ROSS of London. Dear grandfather of Ken BUCKLEY of Dorchester and Mary PEPPER of London. Dear brother of Frank (Amy) and Grove (Sharon) of British Columbia. Predeceased by brothers Jerry, Al, Les, Mickey, and Bill. Fondly remembered by special Friends Bob and Debbie VAILLANCOURT, extended family Mike and Shirlene ROSS and their children, and long-time friend Chuck COOPER. Tom will be remembered by all who knew him for his exceptional talent at scroll saw woodworking and his generosity of spirit. He was a proud veteran of the Second World War, serving his country in the Canadian Army Royal Canadian Corps of Signals from 1939-1946 (England, France, Germany and Italy), and from 1949-1969 (Canada, England, Northern, Central and Western Europe, Russia, Africa and the Middle East). The family wish to express their thanks to the Palliative Care Team at Parkwood Hospital for their care and compassion during Dad's final journey. Respecting his wishes, there will be no service, but a celebration of Tom's life will be held at a later date. Further information may be obtained by calling the family. Cremation with internment at Dorchester Union Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to the Palliative Care Unit at Parkwood would be greatly appreciated. HUTCHINS, Margaret (formerly TERRY)
Lovingly cared for by Robert and his wife Judy while suffering from Alzheimer's. On Tuesday, January 17th, 2006 at the age of 88. Predeceased by husband Bruce TERRY and Clayton HUTCHINS, as well as brothers John and Charlie ROSS. Dearest mother of Robert, George and Gregoire (Joan). Fondly remembered grandmother of Robert and his wife Judy and Michelle and her husband Michael Nol SMITH. Loving great-grandmother of William and Victoria. Survived by her sister Mary TAGGART. Funeral service to be held at St. Paul's United Church, 454 Rebecca Street, Oakville, Ontario on Friday, January 20th at 1 o'clock with visitation starting at noon. Retired Marketing Manager General Electric Company after 45 years of loyal service.
Doug passed away peacefully, at Lakeland Long Term Care, Parry Sound, age 84 years. Beloved husband of Margaret for 63 years. Dear father of Bonnie BROWN- FISHER of Ahmic Harbour; David and his wife Marjorie of Horseshoe Valley. Loving Poppa of Heather and her husband Jetsun TAGGART; David; Christine; Sarah and her husband Roger GLYN- WILLIAMS; and Lindsey. "Old Poppa" was adored by his two great-grand_sons, Douglas and Joshuah. Predeceased by his brother Fred and his sister Mabel SHEPHERD. Fondly remembered by his other relatives and Friends. Doug served in the Royal Canadian Navy in World War 2. Our heartfelt appreciation is extended to the staff at Lakeland for their kindness, dignified care and support. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, on Monday, March 13, 2006 at the Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital, at the age of 84. Predeceased by her husband Harry. Loving mother of Diane, Ron, Bruce, Robert, Ian and Margaret. Proud grandmother of Paul, Christopher, Derek, Jonathan, Charlene, Christine and Devon. Cherished great-grandmother of Cassandra, Nicole, Hannah, and Emma. Visitation will be held at the Oakview Funeral Home, 56 Lakeshore Rd. W., Oakville (one block east of Kerr St.) on Wednesday, March 15, 2005 from 6-9 p.m. Funeral Service on Thursday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. GRAHAM, David Robert (October 13, 1946-March 24, 2006)
Beloved son of the late Wilfred and Dorothy GRAHAM. David is survived by Isabel GRAHAM (BUCHANAN) of Toronto and his sister Donna TAGUE of Ottawa. A long time resident of Toronto, Dave was active in his community and will be fondly remembered by his many Friends and family. A graveside service will be held at Pinecrest Cemetery in Ottawa on April 3, 2006 at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers those wishing to do so may consider a donation to the Canadian Cerebral Palsy Association or to World Vision.
