Peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at the age of 79. Beloved wife of Jack for 49 years. Loving mother of Debra (Roger CHAI,) Kelly (Larry IWAMOTO) and Brenda (Wade PETERS.) Cherished grandma of Stephen, Christopher, Ryan, Bradley and Jason. Dear sister of Jim SANO (Sally,) Kimiko (Kusuo TADA), Harriet (George TSUBONE) and Pat (Bob OGATA). Fondly remembered by other relatives and Friends. Thefamily will receive visitors on Saturday, April 29, 2006 from 7-9 p.m. and Sunday from 2-4 p.m. at the Ward Funeral Home, 2035 Weston Rd. (north of Lawrence Ave.), Weston. Service Monday, May 1 in the Toronto Buddhist Church, 1011 Sheppard Ave. West, Toronto at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery. Vicki's family would like to express their sincere thanks to the doctors and nursing staff of the Emergency Department and Critical Care Unit of Humber River Regional Hospital - Finch Site.

Of Saint Thomas, peacefully surrounded by his loving family, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Betty (SCHENK) KIELSTRA and dearly loved father of Henry and his wife Margaret KIELSTRA of Saint Thomas, Peter KIELSTRA of Ottawa, James and his wife Sherry KIELSTRA of Saint Thomas and Margaret WILMOT of London. Dear brother of Jake and his wife Tena KIELSTRA of Chatham, Allan and his wife Marge of St. Catharines, Henk and his wife Ena of Saint Thomas, Corrie VENEMA of Saint Thomas, Shirley and her husband George TADEMA of Peterborough, the late Klaas, Pieter and Ray KIELSTRA. Dear brother-in-law of Jean KIELSTRA of Saint Thomas. Dearly loved grandfather of Jeremy, John, Beth, Joel, Paula, Brad and Billy. Cecil was born in Surhuisterveen, Holland on December 18, 1925, the son of the late Hendrik and Geeske KIELSTRA. Cecil served in the Dutch Army; served on the Board of the Saint Thomas Community Christian School and on Council at the First Christian Reformed Church longtime member of the Saint Thomas Male Choir Crescendo. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Saturday morning and then to the First Christian Reformed Church where funeral service will be held at 10: 00 a.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Saint Thomas Community Christian School, the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital (Palliative Care Unit) or the Canadian Cancer Society.

SINGER, Livia (January 11, 1954-October 11, 2006)
Passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved wife and best friend of her husband of 25 years, Joel WEINSTEIN. Devoted mother of Jason and Deborah, pre-deceased by her parents Bess (née PODOLIAK) and Mel SINGER. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Dan and Robin SINGER, and Andy SINGER. Dear niece of Esty PODOLIAK. Dear sister-in-law of Donna and Irwin KUZMAROV and Ralph WEINSTEIN. Dear daughter-in-law of Oscar and Ann WEINSTEIN. Will be missed by her nieces, nephews, cousins and many Friends. Livia graduated from the Faculty of Law, University of Toronto, in 1977. Her loss will be felt greatly by all her colleagues at the Department of Justice Canada, Tax Law Services Section, where she was Deputy Section Head. She was described as "having impressed upon us her sense of professionalism, compassion, fairness and collegiality, and having made our office a good place to work." Special thanks to Doctor David KENDAL of the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care, as well as her caregivers Paulette NONKO and Jemanesh TADESSE. Services at Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Ave. W., Toronto on Friday, October 13th at 1: 30 p.m. Interment Congregation Darchei Noam Section of Pardes Shalom Cemetery. A Service of Remembrance will be held on Thursday, November 16, 2006 at 2 p.m. at Islington United Church, 25 Burnhampthorpe Rd., Etobicoke.
