SPOUGE, John
Professor Emeritus, Faculty of Dentistry, University of British Columbia, Dept of Oral Medicine, L.R.C.P., M.R.C.S., F.D.S.(C)
John was a child of the depression, but never-the-less was "short of nothing he'd got". He was generous to a fault. A "Jack of all Trades", he was predominantly a family man who became the focus for Pam and his children, John, Jill, Alison and Dave, as he went to his Rest on Friday, July 14th 2006. John also leaves 12 special grandchildren. At John's request there will be no funeral. His ashes will be scattered next year during a family gathering to celebrate his life. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society. No flowers please. "Though nothing can bring back the hour Of splendour in the grass, of glory in the flower We will grieve not, rather find Strength in what remains behind…" William Wordsworth
