Passed away peacefully at home in Fergus, with a beer by his side and Suki the Siamese on his lap, on May 28th, 2006 in his 79th year. Predeceased by his wife Sydney (2002). Loving father of Cathy SOEHNER and her husband Brian and beloved grandfather of Jessica, Kristen and Caleigh. Cherished by his sister Bette HADDOW. A Celebration of Fred's life will be conducted at the Graham A. Died at home on March 18th, 2006 at the age of 44. A native of Mount Brydges, he later moved to Kitchener and began his career with Babcock and Wilcox Ltd. Where he was widely respected for his achievements. Survived by his mother Nellie WILLEMS of Delaware Dear brother of Mary-Lou (Rick) SOETEMANS of Kitchener, Jacqueline (Phil) LANTZ of London, Charlene "Joan" SLAATS- GRAY/GREY of London, Henry (Donna) SLAATS of Mount Brydges, Peter WILLEMS and Kathy ROOKS of Strathroy. Loved by his nieces and nephews Justin, Melissa, Nathan and Timothy SOETEMANS, Tyler and Michael SLAATS, Heather and Patrick LANTZ. Hank is predeceased by mother Maria WILLEMS (1970) and Father Peter WILLEMS (1999.) Relatives and Friends will be received at Ratz-Bechtel Funeral Home, 621 King Street W., Kitchener on Tuesday March 21st from 6-8 p.m. and at the Elliott-Madill Funeral Home, 22424 Adelaide Rd. STRAATMAN, Leo
Unexpectedly, on May 1st, 2006. Leo STRAATMAN of Watford passed away at the age of 64. He will be sadly missed by his wife Lina (DENYS) and his children Laura (Jim) SOETEMANS, Paul, Julie (Glen) APP, Sandra (Todd) WHITE/WHYTE and his grandchildren Derek, Dylan, Jill, Emily, Jamie, Olivia, Emma and Nathan. Predeceased by 2 infant brothers and dear brother of Gerry (Anne) STRAATMAN, Herman (Johanna) STRAATMAN, Theresa (Victor) SOETEMANS, Mary (Matthew) HOGORVORST, Nellie (Bill) VANDERBURGT, Harry (Ellie) STRAATMAN, Tony (Rita) STRAATMAN and Elsie (Alfons) COUWENBURG. Leo was a respected farmer, businessman and active member of the community and his church. Leo was also a member of the Knights of Columbus. Peacefully at Strathroy Middlesex General Hospital on Saturday, September 9th, 2006 in her 77th year. Jean (CANN) MILLER of Strathroy. Jean is survived by her loving husband Bob MILLER of Strathroy. Beloved mother of Jo-Ann (Gus) SOETEMANS and Tom (Margaret) MILLER. Jean will be missed by loving granddaughters Amanda SOETEMANS and Angel FOSTER (Jeff). Sister of John CANN and Mary-Lou WHITE/WHYTE and sister-in-law of Morris and Joyce MILLER, Fred and Bethel MILLER, Pete MILLER and Larry MILLER.
