It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden
passing of Larry
GREENWOOD on September 21st, 2006. He was the
son of the late George
TUCKFIELD and Mildred
GREENWOOD and husband
of the late and much loved Margaret
GREENWOOD. He is survived
by his sisters, Thelma
GALBRAITE,
Muriel▼
GOLAB (Tony,) and June
SLIGHT
(Don▼) and their extended families. He was a devoted and
most loving friend to Monique
EVIS and her son Alexander. He
will be greatly missed by his many Friends and especially by
"The Yoga Group". He was decorated while serving with the Royal
Canadian Air Force in North Africa and Europe (1942-1945). A banker
by profession, Larry's career with The Canadian Bank of Commerce
began in 1938. It culminated with the Presidency (1968-1971)
and Vice-Chairmanship (1971-1976) of the newly formed Canadian
Imperial Bank of Commerce. He retired from active service with
the bank in 1981 and subsequently served on numerous corporate
boards including: Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer
Swiss Re Management Limited; President, Swissre Holdings (Canada)
Ltd.; The Imperial Life Assurance Company of Canada; Toronto
Blue Jays Baseball Club; North America Reinsurance Company; Swissre
Corporation; Edifice Dorchester Commerce; Eaton Life Assurance
Company; Federal Pioneer Limited; Liberty Mutual Insurance Company
of Canada; Queen's University; The Toronto Hospital for Sick
Children; and
HOOP. He was the recipient of Her Majesty's
Jubilee Medal and the Distinguished Service Award, Queen's University
and also held an Hon. L.L.D. from Queen's University. A memorial
service will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers,
donations to the Toronto Hospital for Sick Children Foundation,
555 University Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M5G 1X8 or Queen's University,
Advancement Business Office, Office of Advancement, Queen's University,
Kingston, Ontario K7L 3N6 would be appreciated.

Ontario, on Monday, December 4, 2006, in her 92nd year. Predeceased

SEAMAN, all of Calgary. Jessie was a volunteer with the Joseph
Brant Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a long time member of Wellington
Square United Church in Burlington. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation at Smith's Funeral Home, 485 Brant Street, (one block
north of City Hall) Burlington (905-632-3333) on Wednesday from
3-5 and 7-9 p.m. Service of Remembrance will take place at Wellington
Square United Church, 2121 Caroline Street, Burlington, on Thursday,

by family and cheerful memories to her last moments, on Saturday
September 16, 2006 at Orillia Soldier's Memorial Hospital in
her 94th year. Cherished wife of the late Harold "Larry"

settled in London, Ontario in 1948. A world traveller, social
butterfly and loved by all she met. She was devoted to family
and dedicated to the Church of Saint Andrew Memorial and many
special groups such as, Home and School Association and Duchess
of Kent Legion. Friends will be received by the family from 7-9 p.m.
on Monday September 18, 2006 at the A. Millard George Funeral
Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London. A private family service
to be held on Tuesday, September 19, 2006. A memorial service
to be held at a later date at St. Luke's Anglican Church, Orillia.
Interment in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, London. As an expression
