MASSIE, James Cardno "J.C."
Conceived in Scotland, and born in Toronto; attended Sunfish Young Men's Christian Association Camp, Innisfil, 1936 to 1941 where he met the love of his life Miss Vera SIVELL. Attended Danforth Technical School completing grade 13 early to enter the Royal Canadian Air Force. Served in the Royal Air Force 1942 to 1945, stationed at Gravely, England, where he flew 49 missions over enemy territory, in the Canadian built Mosquito. His wartime valour was recognized by Governor General Vincent Massey in the awarding of the Distinguished Flying Cross. Jim proudly married Vera on October 23rd, 1946. Jim's entrepreneurialism began in 1946 with the creation of C and M Lighting which he sold in 1949 to begin his career with General Motors and the automotive industry which lasted to his death. Jim purchased Georgian Pontiac Buick in Barrie with his family on September 22nd, 1981. Jim dedicated many volunteer hours within the community most recently as Honorary Chairman Salvation Army Red Shield Appeal. For the last 10 years of his life, J.C. was an integral part of the Barrie Colts Hockey Team, showing tireless involvement as the Managing Director and #1 Fan of the team and players. Passed away after a brief but courageous battle following complications from surgery at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, on Tuesday, September 19th, 2006. Jim MASSIE, in his 83rd year, of Barrie. Cherished husband for 60 years of Vera. Loving and supportive father of Marilynn BOOTH of Toronto, and Jamie MASSIE and his wife Wendy of Barrie. Proud and involved 'Pop' of Kristen ROBINSON and her husband Ben, Doctor Kylie BOOTH, Robbie BOOTH, Andrew, Jamie, Jeffrey, and Alex MASSIE, and first great-grand_son Carter ROBINSON. Younger brother to Adeline, Mary, and Margaret. Jim will be remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and Friends. The Massie Family would like to extend a special thank you to the medical and nursing staff at the Royal Victoria Hospital. Funeral service will be held at Collier Street United Church, Barrie, on Friday, September 22nd, 2006, at 10: 30 a.m. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to the Georgian College Foundation, J.C. Massie Automotive Bursary Award. Condolences may be forwarded through www.steckleygooderham.com. Peacefully at University Hospital on Saturday, September 16, 2006 William Edward (Bill) MOORE of London in his 91st year. Beloved husband of Ruth Velma (SMITH.) Dear father of Robert MOORE (Kathleen) of London, Edward MOORE (Margaret) of Dorchester, Susan McMILLAN (David), Elizabeth LAWSON (John), Maureen MOORE (Allan) all of London. He will be sadly missed by his grandchildren Jeff MOORE (Laurie), Sara GANDZA (Greg), Lisa MOORE, Jodi PITTARO (Rob,) Laura MOORE, Jennifer and Michael McMILLAN, Angela, Emily, Keely and Hayley LAWSON. Proud great-grandfather of Aidan, Evan, Jaymee and Alex. Also survived by his sisters Mary MOORE of London and Patricia PIPER (Bob) of Burlington. Dear brother in law of Helen FRAUMENI and Betty SIVERNS (Maurice.) Predeceased by his sister Geraldine MOORE. Visitors will be received at John T. Donohue Funeral Home, 362 Waterloo Street at King Street, on Tuesday evening from 7-9 o'clock and Wednesday morning from 11 o'clock until the time of the funeral service at 12 noon. Interment in Saint Peter's Cemetery. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the Kidney Foundation would be appreciated.

Dear father of Nicole RONALD and her husband Robert of London, Denise DITTY and her husband Michael of Wellesley, Jennifer SIVILOTTI and her husband Jamie NIEDBALA of Kingston. Predeceased by his son Andy SIVILOTTI. Dear nonno of Jordan and Joel, Camille and Natalie and Aidan. Dear brother of Americo SIVILOTTI and his wife Kay QUIGLEY. Predeceased by sisters Doris SIVILOTTI of London and Rena ZANGRANDO of Hamilton. There will be no funeral home visitation.
