KUWAHARA, Ken, P.Eng.
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 24, 2006 in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Barbara, devoted father of Karen, Leonard (Lindy) and Stephen (Cathy), and dear grandpa of Nyssa, Nariko, Midori, Bryan, Gregory and David. Loving brother of Hiroshi (Kay), Tom (Ceo) and Grace SASAKI (Mitsuru) and brother-in-law of Mitsy. Predeceased by brothers Mitsuo and Richard. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews, family and Friends. Graduate of the University of Alberta (Electrical Engineering) and long-time employee of Canada Wire. Active member of the community in volunteering, coaching sports and, most recently, the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre. An avid baseball fan, his other hobbies included bowling, golfing, gardening and reading. Family and Friends will be received at the Highland Funeral Home, 3280 Sheppard Avenue East (West of Warden) on Friday, October 27 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 28 at 11 a.m. in the Highland Funeral Home Chapel, preceded by a one-hour visitation. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre, Momiji Health Centre or a charity of your choice. Special thanks to all the caregivers at the North York General Hospital.

Passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer on Sunday, February 12, 2006. Beloved husband of Janice. Loving father of Alicia and Spencer. Dear brother of John, Terry, Nora and Dan. A private service will be held on Wednesday February 15, 2006 at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, Toronto. Family and Friends are invited to the family home to celebrate and remember Tom's life on Wednesday, February 15, 2006 from 4-7 p.m. For those who wish, donations may be made to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation.

ROSE, Lynda May
Lynda ROSE died at home on December 7, 2006, at the age of sixty-two. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Greg SASS; her daughters - Wendi WILHELM, Deb McCANN, and Jenn WILHELM and their partners her grandchildren Jenny, Phillipe, Angelo, Shelyn, Jacquie, and Jesse; as well as her sisters, June ROSE and Heather ROSE and their husbands. Lynda's strength, wisdom and positive thinking inspired all who knew her. Her deep caring and compassion for family, Friends, foster children, clients, colleagues, the community and all living things touched many hearts. A part of her is alive in each of these hearts she so lovingly affected. We were transformed as we grew knowing her. The family would like to especially thank Elizabeth SALM, Cindy VAN HALDEREN of Toronto Community Care Access Centre, and Doctors ARVANITIS and CELLARIUS of the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care for providing excellent hospice care to Lynda. You and we made her comfortable and helped her to live fully to the end. Lynda died as she had lived - unflinching, calm, full of grace, always true to her values, and still concerned for the well-being of those whom she loved. Lynda's family will receive visitors at the George Darte Funeral Chapel, 585 Carlton Street, St. Catharines, on Sunday, December 10th from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at Saint_John's Anglican Church, 80 Main Street, St. Catharines, on Monday, December 11th at 1 p.m. A memorial service will take place in Toronto at a later date. MARITAN, Lendo Angelo
Passed away on Monday, January 9, 2006 at Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital after a long struggle at the age of 71. Beloved husband of Elaine. Loving and devoted father of Wendy VAN MONSJOU, Paul MARITAN and Kimberly JACKSON. Grandfather of Benjamin, Tanya and Russ. Lendo will be sadly missed by his sisters Antoinette PICCOLOTTO, Emma PELLIZZARI, Bruna DIRENZO, Susie and her husband Andy SASS. He will also be fondly remembered by his extended family and many Friends. A Celebration of his Life will be held at the Glen Oaks Memorial Chapel and Reception Centre, 3164 Ninth Line (403/Dundas) in Oakville, 905-257-8822 on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at 1: 00 p.m. Reception to follow. Peacefully in his 93rd year, on Tuesday, September 25, 2006, surrounded by his close family. Chaim KUPER, beloved husband and lifelong partner of the late Freidke KUPER. Eldest son of Sure Ite and Hersh Peisach. Loving father and father-in-law of Ana and Saul BERMAN, Bella and Stanley SANDERSON. Infinitely more than a grandfather of Jason and Sarah, Hershl and Xuan, and Chavele and Leibele. Dear brother of Shloime and Itchele, Ruchl, and the late Yul Dovid and Shimon (Pushkin). An inspiration to countless nieces, nephews, family and Friends. A Bundist in every sense. Special thanks to Doctor Sandy BUCHMAN and the palliative care teams at Princess Margaret Hospital, Baycrest, and the Temmy Latner Centre and to Doctor Abraham SASSON for his dedication to our parents' well-being. After a courageous battle, on Tuesday, November 28, 2006, in Montreal. Wife of the late Abe LITVACK and the late Sam MARON. Beloved mother and mother-in-law of Irwin and Patti LITVACK, Rosalind and David SHAANAN, Michael and Joanne LITVACK, Trudy and Claude SASSOON, Danny and Suzi MARON. Dear sister of Doctor Harry POSTNER. Special sister-in-law of Anne KIRSTEIN. Cherished Bubby of Aaron and Stewart LITVACK; Ari and Jonathan SHAANAN; Adam and Jamie LITVACK; Lila SASSOON; Gregory and Chad MARON.
