Suddenly in Melancthon Township on Monday September 4, 2006 in his 58th year. Loving husband of Darlene. Devoted father of Helena and her husband Scott COLEMAN- SADD, Lloyd, Katherine and her husband Kevin RITA, Jennifer and Gordon. Beloved grandfather of Stephanie, Shannon and Jennifer Faye. He is survived by his brother John and his wife Marilyn of Gander, Newfoundland. The family received Friends at their home, 2nd Line Melancthon, north of County Rd. #21 east of Hwy. 10 N of Shelburne, Em#198070 on Friday September 9, 3-5 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. A memorial service was held at their home on Saturday September 9, 2006 at 11 a.m. Cremation. SADDY, Marceil, 1988 -- Died This Day
Publisher and politician born in London, Ontario, in 1924.
The son of Lebanese immigrants, he attended the University of Western Ontario. In 1953, he moved to Sarnia, Ontario, to launch a weekly newspaper, The Sarnia Gazette. In 1966, he decided to entered local politics and won a seat on city council. In 1980, he was elected mayor for the first time. He twice won re-election. A chain-smoking bachelor known for his outspoken style, he was famous in Sarnia for his defence of the working man and often argued against tax increases and rate increases. He sold his newspaper in 1984 and, three years later, was diagnosed with lung cancer.

Born London, England and died, after a lengthy illness, in Sao Paulo, Brazil on 24 October 2006 in his 64th year. Robert is survived by his father, John W. BRYDON, and was predeceased by his mother, the late Susan Hore ROSS. He is survived by his beloved wife Maria Alice SADEK and his dearly loved children Anthony and Alexandra in Brazil and Philip and Naomi in Australia. Loved brother of Ann (Alex) CHISHOLM and dear uncle of Douglas (Bonnie,) Ian (Lisa) and Colin (Stephanie) and their children Callum, Neve, Andrew and Evan. Missed by his dear Friends from around the world and especially the Neffa and Sadek families in Brazil. Robert spent his early childhood in Argentina and Uruguay and moved to Canada, with his family, in 1955. He attended Concordia University in Montreal, studying economics and political science. On graduation he joined the Royal Bank of Canada and served with distinction in the international banking field. His long and successful career took him to a variety of assignments in South America, Europe and Australia. He retired in 2002, settling in Brazil with his family. Despite a lengthy illness, he continued to pursue a variety of interests. He had a long life passion for an eclectic mix of music, he read extensively and was infinitely interested in the world around him. He undertook genealogical research, loved to travel, and enjoyed his garden. Robert cared deeply for his Friends and family. He was compassionate, witty, generous, intelligent, always elegant, and kind. He accepted his final illness with courage and strength and died as he had lived -- a truly gentle man.

Born April 24, 1916, London, United Kingdom, died January 5, 2006 at Toronto East General Hospital. He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Doris (née ANSELL,) sister Maisie SADLER, son John, and granddaughter Mimi. He will be fondly remembered by extended family and Friends in Canada and abroad. Alf's passing was preceded by several days by the death of his younger brother Stan in Clacton-on-Sea, England. Alf, a World War 2 Veteran of the British Armed Forces, immigrated to Canada with his wife and son in 1953. He built the family home in Highland Creek and worked as an upholsterer, foreman and production manager at Barrymore Furniture in Toronto until his retirement in 1981. He was an avid gardener and a skilled carpenter. His strength, courage, humour and pragmatism earned the respect of all who knew him. He was a cherished and constant husband, father and friend who will be dearly missed. Anne Whyte (née SADLER) passed away peacefully at the Beverly Care Centre in Calgary, Alberta, on Thursday, March 9, 2006. Born July 8, 1920 in Toronto, Ontario, Anne spent eighty years in Toronto before moving to Calgary in 2000. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of fifty years, James Edward (Ted), who passed away on the exact same day in 1994. Lovingly remembered by daughter Suzanne and husband Jack KENNEDY (Leroy, New York,) daughter Maureen WHITE/WHYTE and partner Maureen McKENNA (Kingston, Ontario), and son Robert and wife Sally (Calgary). Anne will be sadly missed by grandchildren Shannon (Noel) RUTHERFORD, Connecticut Sean (Laura) KENNEDY, North Carolina; Adam and Brad WHITE/WHYTE, Calgary and her great-grandchild Nick, Connecticut. Peacefully at his home on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at the age of 85. Loving husband of Margaret. A devoted friend to many at St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Friends may call at the Turner and Porter Yorke Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. W., at Windermere, east of the Jane subway on Wednesday, January 11 from 4-6 p.m. and on Thursday, January 12 from 5 p.m. until a service at 6 p.m. Funeral Service to be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 1442 Davenport Road on Friday, January 13 at 1 p.m. Interment Sanctuary Park Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to St. Paul's Lutheran Church.

Peacefully at home on Tuesday, September 12, 2006 Veronica entered into eternal life in her 101st year. Wife of the late Stanley SADLOWSKI (1971.) Loving and cherished mother of Lea McGUGAN and Linda SADLOWSKI. Predeceased by her sons Eugene (1989) and Gilbert (2004). Dear grandma of Michael, Karen, Joe, Kelly and Jimmy and 5 great-grandchildren. Precious grandma to Bryan. Predeceased by her grand_son Donnie (1988). A private Funeral Mass was held at Our Lady Chapel, Saint Peter's Basilca on Friday, September 15, 2006. Interment in Saint Peter's Cemetery. 'Eternal Rest grant unto her, O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon her.'
