Nubar
The Sabag family is saddened to announce the passing of Nubar
SABAG on Monday, October 30, 2006, after a severe stroke. Nubar
was born in Aleppo on November 29, 1920. An avid lover of music
and an internationally renowned artist, he captured life, texture
and colour in over one thousand paintings during his lifetime.
With many awards to his credit, his prize-winning works have
been displayed in museums such as the Hermitage and the Sao Paulo
Museum of Modern Art. A wonderful husband, caring father, joyful
grandfather and a kind, patient, noble human being, Nubar will
be dearly missed by family and many Friends. He is survived by
his wife Ida, son Shahe, grand-daughter Kaya and daughter-in-law
Janet. A memorial service will be held for Nubar at 2 p.m. on
Friday, November 3, 2006, in the Chapel at the Trull Funeral
Home and Cremation Centre, 2704 Yonge Street (5 blocks south
of Lawrence), 416-488-1101. Private cremation to follow. In lieu
of flowers, donations may be made "in memory of Nubar Sabag"
to the Sunnybrook Foundation, 2075 Bayview Avenue, Toronto, M4N 3M5.

Gerry was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Riverview and was elected
a Mel Osborne Fellow in 1998. Cremation has taken place. A memorial

in athletics, scholarship and university life. He taught and
coached at Western before entering medicine. He graduated in
1957 and received his fellowship in General surgery in 1962,
and Fellowship in the American College of Surgeons in 1966. He
was inducted into the Western "W" Club Sports Hall of Fame in
1984. He practiced General Surgery in Tillsonburg for 33 years
in partnership first with Elmer

He was born on May 21, 1924 in Edmonton, Alberta. He was raised
in Montreal, Quebec and lived there until 1977 when he moved
to Sarasota, Florida for the duration of his life. He graduated
from Queen's University in Kingston, Ontario with a Bachelor
of Commerce degree and was a Chartered Accountant. Most of his
career was spent as a commercial real estate developer and investor.
He was predeceased by his loving wife of forty-five years, Frances M.

taught for the London School Board until his retirement in 2002.
He enjoyed golf from early spring to late fall with his golf
buddy Red, and also bowled with the Pedagogue league for many
years. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will
be held on Tuesday, December 12th from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. and Wednesday,
December 13th from 6: 00-7:00 p.m. at the Westview Funeral Chapel,
709 Wonderland Road North, where the memorial service will be
conducted on Wednesday December 13th, 2006 at 7: 00 p.m. At Richard's
request and in accordance with the wishes of his family, please
do not send flowers. Those wishing to make a donation in memory
of Richard are asked to consider the Heart and Stroke Foundation
of Ontario or the London Health Sciences Foundation -- Cancer
Centre.
