Peacefully, with family by his side, at Parkwood Hospital on Sunday, April 23, 2006. "Mike" Michael John Raymond SANSOM, of London, in his 72nd year. Loving father of Karen (Joe) SA of Brampton, Darren of England and Vaughan of London. Survived by Rachel SANSOM. Cherished grandfather of Joshua, Cheyenne, Chenia, Jordan, Gary and Christopher. Dear brother of Colin SANSOM and Dennis (Josie) SANSOM and their families of England. Also survived by his former wife and friend Christina. Predeceased by his parents Mary and Reginald, step-mother Amy Eileen and grand_son Jamie. Friends will be received at the Evans Funeral Home, 648 Hamilton Rd. (1 block east of Egerton), on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will be conducted at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 615 Baseline Rd. E., London, on Friday, April 28, 2006, at 2: 00 p.m. Interment in Woodland Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Blood Services or the charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family. FINAN, Raymond Joseph
Passed away peacefully, in Montreal on June 11, 2006, in his 86th year. Beloved husband of Victoria SAAD for 56 years. Loving and proud father of Reine-Marie (Fayez TAWIL,) Roger (Judith JASPER), Ottawa, Ramzi, Beirut, Nadim (Lori LAPOINTE) and Joe (Marie-Thérèse COPTI.) Respected Jiddo and Grandfather to Georges, Fadi, Zahi, Raymond, Mounir, Joseph and Catherine. Raymond is survived by his sister Esther ATALLAH, Syracuse, New York. Raymond made his own contribution through his many years of services with the United Nations, in particular his work at United Nations Relief and Works Agency. All his life, Raymond maintained a positive and optimistic outlook. He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by many family members and Friends. Visitation at the Armstrong-Rideau Funeral Home, 1640 Cote-Vertu, St-Laurent (514) 331-1104, on Wednesday, June 14 from 3: 00 to 5:00 and 7:00 to 9: 00 p.m. Funeral service at Our Lady of Fatima Parish (875 Marcel-Laurin, corner Decelle, St-Laurent), on Thursday, June 15 at 11: 00 a.m. Burial will follow at Cimetière St-Laurent. Passed away at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre on Thursday, February 9, 2006 in her 91st year after a long and valiant battle with Parkinson's disease and several surgeries. Predeceased by her beloved husband Voldemar, Master of Pharmacy. Cherished mother of Ingrid-Kristi and co-caregiver Ken BAUMAN/BOWMAN, dear stepmother of Helgi and her husband Leo SEIM and grandmother of Allan SEIM. Niina's passing represents a profound loss to her lifelong Friends in the Estonian community in Toronto and abroad. Her generosity of heart and spirit and her extraordinary professional dedication will be deeply missed by colleagues and Friends of all generations and from all walks of life who crossed her path since her arrival in Canada in 1953. It is with profound sadness that the family of Ron LITCHFIELD announces his peaceful passing at home on Saturday, March 18th, 2006. Born in Utterson, Ontario on July 5, 1931, he was the beloved husband of nearly fifty years to Diane (née KELLOCK.) Wonderful father to Kathy GROH, John (Laura), Doug (Karen) and Bob (Mandy) LITCHFIELD. Devoted and loving grandfather to Trevor and Steven GROH, Kyle, Carly, Scott, Sarah, Tom, Hannah, Meghan and Claire LITCHFIELD. Ron is survived by his brother Bob (Evelyn) of Manitoba and his sister-in-law Estelle. Predeceased by brother Bruce and sister Ruth FENDLEY (Bob.) Uncle to Elizabeth FENDLEY, Linda (Atso) SAARKOPPEL, Ron (Kate) LITCHFIELD, Bill (Cathy) LITCHFIELD, Nancy (Eric) HUTCHINSON/HUTCHISON and Jane (Bill) MEDD. Of Saint Thomas, on Tuesday, February 28, 2006, at the Saint Thomas-Elgin General Hospital, in his 80th year. Beloved husband of Corry (KIELSTRA) VENEMA and loved father of Charles VENEMA of Yarmouth Centre, Grace and her husband John PASMA of Edmonton, Alberta, Renee and her husband Dick SAARLOOS of Aylmer and Carla and her husband John OUDYK of Brantford. Sadly missed by 14 grandchildren. Dear brother of Sjoerd VENEMA of Holland. Peter was born in Holland on May 19, 1926, the son of the late Sake and Riemkje FEENSTRA) VENEMA. He came to Canada in 1953 and was a retired building contractor. He was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church, past choir member and served on the Church Council. Peter was a former Chairman of the London District Secondary School Board and had served on the Heritage Foundation. Resting at Williams Funeral Home, 45 Elgin Street, Saint Thomas until Friday afternoon and then to the First Christian Reformed Church for funeral service at 1: 00 p.m. Interment to follow in Elmdale Cemetery. Visitation Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Remembrances may be made to the Saint Thomas Community Christian School and the London District Christian Secondary School.
