DAY, John Henry Fine
Passed away peacefully on November 19, 2006 at home surrounded by family and Friends following a long courageous battle with Leukemia. John Henry was born August 6, 1974 in Regina. A member of the Sweetgrass First Nation, he was predeceased by his mother Patricia FINE DAY; brothers Brooke FINE DAY and Brian ROHATYN Grandparents Stan and Doris RANDS and Alphonse Little Poplar. He is survived by his loving wife Stephanie MESSNER and infant son Nikosis; grandmother Irene FINE DAY; father Brian RANDS brother Kenneth FINE DAY; sisters Emily and Naomi BOESE, Cecilia RANDS and Hanah MOLLOY. John Henry was a proud graduate of the S.I.F.C./ F.N.U.C., receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts - Indian Art, in June of 2004. A respected artist, John developed a unique style. It was during his fight with leukemia that his artwork flourished. He was prolific in his final years building a significant body of work displayed at numerous shows and exhibitions. John's proudest moment came with the birth of his beloved son Nikosis. All who were blessed to have known him will miss John Henry and his kind and gentle spirit, but his memory will remain in our hearts forever. A celebration of John Henry's life will take place on Saturday, December 2, 2006 from 2: 00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Fellowship, College Avenue and Angus Street, Regina, Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Friends of B3, care of the Pasqua Hospital.

Suddenly, at her late residence on Friday, January 13, 2006 Donna Bernice (LAVIS) BAKER of Huron Park in her 83rd year. Beloved wife of the late Howard H. BAKER (1988.) Dear mother of Bill BAKER of London, Marjorie and Fred NEATHWAY of Strathroy, Allen and Sandy BAKER of Hamilton. Sharon and Harry KINGMA of Huron Park, Marilyn and Glen ROHDE of Woodham, Sandra and Brad MARSDEN and Susan and Tom MURCH all of Exeter. Also survived by 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by a grand_son William BAKER and sisters Eleen WAGNER and Lenore McTAVISH. No funeral home visitation. A private family service will be held at Hopper Hockey Funeral Home, 370 William Street, 1 west of Main, Exeter on Sunday, January 15, 2006 with Reverend Sheila MacGREGOR officiating. COVENT, Linda (née BIRNBAUM)
After a courageous battle with cancer, Linda COVENT peacefully passed away surrounded by family at Hill House Hospice on Monday, March 20, 2006. Linda demonstrated immeasurable strength and determination throughout her life. Her gentle, graceful, and loving nature left a lasting and joyful impression on everyone she touched. Linda, beloved wife of Warren, and loving mother and mother-in-law of Andrea and Moira, Jason and Robyn. An adoring Bubbie to Ashlee, and Jordyn, a devoted daughter-in-law to Ethel COVENT, and a loving niece to Fran ROHER. She had a special relationship with her brother and sister-in-law, Jack and Pat and loved her sister-in-law Patricia and her husband, Brian. She was a loving aunt to Lawrence and Wendy, Gerald and Cheryl, Leslie and Bill, Michael and Oiman, Peter and Janet, and David and all of their children. Linda left a legacy of love, generosity and integrity. She will be forever remembered and cherished by everyone who was fortunate enough to know her. At Benjamin's Park Memorial Chapel, 2401 Steeles Avenue West (3 lights west of Dufferin), for service on Thursday, March 23, 2006 at 10: 30 a.m. Interment Temple Harzion section of Pardes Shalom Cemetery. Passed away peacefully, in her 86th year, with family by her side. She was loved greatly and will be missed and remembered always. Beloved wife of Clare for 64 years. Devoted mom of Don SHANK and his wife Lynn, Barb ROHMANN and her husband Hans, and Ken SHANK. Loving nanny to Carrie and her husband Dean, Erin and her husband Darrin, H.J. and his wife Melina, Kurt and Erich. Proud "G.G." (great-grandmother) to Brianna, Evan and Aiden. Close sister to her brother Pat SULLIVAN. Flo will also be missed and fondly remembered by other family and Friends. At his home, with his family by his side on Sunday March 26, 2006, Josef PAMMER in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Regine for 45 years. On December 30, 2005 at Parkwood Hospital in the 83rd year of a wonderful life. Loving husband of the late Jennie ROHRER and devoted father of Richard and Patricia (RUNCIMAN.) Rudy will be remembered with love by all his family including his daughter-in-law, Helen, his son-in-law Scott, his grandchildren, Eric, Emily, Neil and Laura. Rudy was a retired executive of the Singer Company of Canada and served in the Canadian Army in World War 2. Thanks to all the kind staff and caregivers at Parkwood Hospital, 5B South. At the Woodstock General Hospital on Friday July 7, 2006, G. Russell GEE of Norwich in his 75th year. Beloved husband of Phyllis (COOPER) for 52 years.
