grandfather of Lindsey, Christine, Joseph, and Gianna. Dear brother
of Robert RIFE and Joan
HICKS of Panama City, Florida. Donald
will be fondly remembered by family, Friends, and former patients.
He served in the Canadian Dental Corps during World War 2. Graduated
from the University of Toronto Dental School in 1950 and set
up practice in North Toronto until the age of 83. He was President
of the Canadian Dental Association in 1977 and also served for
the North Toronto Dental Association and the Ontario Dental Association
through much of his working life. Two of his major accomplishments
include introducing fluoridation into the Toronto water system
and developing the Dental Insurance Fee Guide. He was also a
founding member of Northminster United Church. Friends may call
on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9p.m. at the R.S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge
Street, at Goulding, south of Steeles). A Funeral Service will
be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. at Northminster United Church (255 Finch
Ave. W.). As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made
to Northminster United Church Building Fund or a Charity of your

2006. He has left behind his family who will always remember
him with love and lots of smiles. They are: His wife, best friend

his beloved walking buddy Cali (his Goofy Dog). Ron was predeceased
by his father Carl
FEWSTER in 2002 and by his beloved Snickers
in 2004. He loved from afar and has never forgotten his children,
Jennifer and Jacob. He will be missed by many aunts, uncles and
cousins. Ron has left behind many Friends who will always cherish
his love, Friendship and sense of humor. The support of family,
Friends, doctors, nurses and care workers this past year will
never be forgotten by Ron, Cathy and Cali. Love and thanks to
all. Anyone knowing Ron knew he loved sports, especially his
golf, fishing and baseball. He really loved and treasured his
walks with Snickers, Cali and Cathy. He always had a nickname
for everyone. Friends and relatives are invited to join with
the family for a time of memorial visitation at the R.D. Longworth
Funeral Home, 845 Devonshire Ave., Woodstock, (519-539-0004)
on Tuesday November 21, 2006 from 2: 30-4:30 and 7-9 p.m. where
a memorial service will be held in the chapel on Wednesday at
11: 00 a.m. with Reverend John
FURRY officiating. A celebration of
Ron's life will be held following the memorial service at the
Oxford Golf and Country Club (Craigowan). Come prepared to reminisce
and smile. All guests wishing to participate are asked to bring
their drivers, a golf ball and tee to "Tee-it-up" on the 1st hole
in Ron's memory! In lieu of flowers donations may be made to
the Victorian Order of Nurses Hospice Sakura House. "Hawk is
okay riding his Harley with God's Angels"
