RAVELL, Doreen May (née BOYNE)
Of R.R.#2 Tiverton, at Grey Bruce Health Services, Owen Sound, on Thursday, January 5, 2006, in her 81st year. Beloved wife of Walter. Dear mother of Wayne and his wife Patricia of Kincardine, Phyllis and her husband Laverne FERGUSON of Mount Forest, Diana and her husband Garry McLEISH of Forest, Daniel of Saint John's, Newfoundland, Louise and her husband Ralph MILNER of Allenford, Beverley and her husband Dave GARINGER of Shallow Lake, and Sherry HOWE of Wiarton. Sadly missed by seventeen grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Also survived by her sister Lola WILCOX of Forest. Predeceased by five brothers and one sister. Visitation at the Davey-Linklater Funeral Home, 757 Princes Street, Kincardine, Ontario, N2Z 1Z5, (519) 396-2701, on Sunday, January 8th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m., where a funeral service will be held on Monday at 2: 00 p.m. Interment, Port Bruce Cemetery. At Blue Water Rest Home, Zurich, Tuesday, February 14, 2006, Irene Annie (RAVELLE) PENFOUND, formerly of R.R.#1, Grand Bend, in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late George Argyle PENFOUND (1980.) Loved by her nieces and nephews Reg and Barb CHILTON of London, Jackie SUTTON and Hugh THOMAS of Lambeth, Sylvia and Ray BEIERLING and Gary ZIMMER all of Grand Bend, Esther and Alberto REYNAUD of Toronto and their families. Predeceased by her sisters Violet CHILTON, Verna ZIMMER, brother Stewart RAVELLE, parents Remy and Annie (THOMPSON/THOMSON/TOMPSON/TOMSON) RAVELLE. FONES, Eileen Dorothy
At the age of 76 years, suddenly on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 at the Longworth Long Term Care Facility. Eileen was the daughter of the late John and Susannah FONES. Beloved sister of Audrey Raven and Evelyn Cogan, sister-in-law of Peggy FONES. Predeceased by her sister Eleanor, her brothers Tom (Betty), Harry (Marguerite), Fred (Jean) and Clarence, brothers-in-law Frank RAVEN and Alfred COGAN. Loved dearly by her niece Lynda and her husband Gordon LA ROSE. Eileen is fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews and their families. Dear friend of Marie VEENSTRA and Lorna ANTOINE. Cremation has taken place. A private interment will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Family and Friends are invited to Wesley-Knox United Church Chapel, 91 Askin Street, London, on Saturday, June 10, 2006, at 10: 30 a.m. for a Memorial Celebration Service of Eileen's Life. Rev. RAVEN- HANNAFORD, Norma Harriet (née KNECHTEL) (1921-2006)
Norma Harriet RAVEN- HANNAFORD (née KNECHTEL) of Calgary, Alberta passed away in her granddaughters home in the loving arms of Lisa with Kelsey at her side on Sunday, December 17, 2006 in her 86th year. Until recently she lived at Lake Bonavista Village in Calgary. Besides her loving husband Bert, Norma is remembered by her children, Chris (Barb) RAVEN of Burlington, Ontario, Susan (Michael) GOODROW of Calgary, Scott (Geri) RAVEN of Erin, Ontario grandchildren, Lisa (Chris) WUOHELA, Jacki (Doug) CLARK, Brandon (Vanessa) RAE, Andrew (Sandy) RAVEN, Tim (Shelley) GOODROW, Mark (Charleen) RAVEN, Holly (Justin) RAVEN, Sydney RAVEN and by her great-grandchildren, Kyle, Tyler, Kelsey and Connor MELANSON, Sabrina HEDLEY, Dylan and Rachel CLARK, Kayla and Jesse GOODROW, Lexus and Jaxson RAE and her beautiful boy Odinn WUOHELA. She will also be missed by Abby, her cherished pet. Norma was predeceased by her first husband C. Harvey RAVEN in 1994. She was a loving wife, mother, nana and great nana and was loved by all. The family will receive Friends at the Humphrey Funeral Home - A.W. Miles Chapel, 1403 Bayview Avenue (south of Eglinton Avenue East), from 12-1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27th with a service in the chapel at 1 o'clock. Interment Highland Memory Gardens. Peacefully and surrounded by his children at the Carpenter Hospice in Burlington on Wednesday morning March 8th, 2006, in his 75th year. William Gordon HAMPSON was predeceased by his beloved wife Cynthia HAMPSON (1979.) Loving father of Robert and his wife Tina, Paul, Cynthia VAN RAVENSTEIN and her husband Derek, Margaret WINDICH and her husband Jeff. Loving grandfather known as "Pops" to his six beautiful granddaughters, Laura, Michelle, Kelly, Emily, Robyn and Kaitlyn. Gordon was a journalist/photographer for 21 years at The Hamilton Spectator, where he was a City Hall reporter, and Queen's Park Correspondent. Retired Senior Ontario Civilian Commissioner on Police Services. Member, Board of Governors at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital (1972-1986). Past President St. George Benevolent Society. Past Warden and long term member Christ's Church Cathedral. Ralph THORNTON (1998.) Dear mother of Joyce and husband Raymond WHEELER of Paris, Marlene and husband Ed MAJERNIK of Norwich, Gail and husband Phil GRAVELLE of Scotland, Dan and wife Connie of Regina, Cheryl and husband Kal WAHTRAS of Lynden, the late Neil (2000) and wife Diane of London, Wallace and wife Nancy of Jarvis, Lynne and husband Tony VAN BERLO of Wilsonville, Patty Anne and husband Chris VAN RAVENSWAY of Burgessville. She will be sadly missed by her 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Survived by sister Marion McKAY of Woodstock, brother Wallace BROOKS and wife Myrtle of Woodstock. Predeceased by brothers Donald and Ronald, sister Wanda, and granddaughter Debbie GRAVELLE. Wayva was a lifetime member of K.T.V. (Kelvin United Church), lifetime member of Kelvin U.C.W., pianist and choir leader for over 40 years. Mom and Dad's door was always open and the coffee pot was always on.
