Our beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend, born in McKillop Township, April 7, 1920, passed away suddenly at Seaforth Community Hospital on Tuesday, May 30, 2006 in her 87th year -- bringing an end to a long and inspiring life. Elizabeth Veronica (Vera Duffy) MURRAY of Seaforth and formerly of McKillop Township, beloved wife of the late Raymond MURRAY (2003.) Cherished mother of seven, Bill and Martha MURRAY of R.R.#5, Seaforth, Elaine and Gerry VAN DEN HENGEL, of Seaforth, Mary Lou and Pat JORDAN of Stratford, Joe and Wendy MURRAY of Whitby, Patricia and Frank CROWLEY of R.R.#5, Seaforth, Doug and Darcy MURRAY of Japan and Jean and Brian HARRIS of Kitchener. Loving grandmother of 26 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Dear sister and sister-in-law of Esther RAU, Exeter, Rita MANLEY, Stratford, Bob (Ruth) DUFFY, R.R.#1, Dublin, Eldon O'BRIEN, Goderich, Tom (Maddie) MURRAY, Vincent MURRAY and Grace MURRAY, all of Seaforth. Also remembered by several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Predeceased by her parents William and Loretta (O'REILLY) DUFFY, a brother Lou DUFFY, a sister Mary O'BRIEN and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Alvin RAU, Mervyn MANLEY, Mary (Zack) RYAN, Frank (Marion) MURRAY, Dominic MURRAY, Dorothy MURRAY, Christine MURRAY and Hazel MURRAY. Family will receive Friends at the Whitney-Ribey Funeral Home, 87 Goderich Street West, Seaforth on Thursday from 7: 00-9:00 p.m. and Friday from 3: 30-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. Mass of the Christian Burial will be held at Saint_James Roman Ctholic Church, Seaforth on Saturday, June 3 at 11: 00 a.m. Fr. Chris GILLESPIE will officiate. Parish prayers will be held on Friday at 3: 45 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment St. Columban Cemetery. Brother-in-law of Mary Ann FLANAGAN, Martha and Jim RUGGABER, Ellen and Morris RAU of London, Tillman and Muriel HARTMAN of Shakespeare, Richard HARTMAN of Calgary, Michael and Dara HARTMAN of Dashwood. Predeceased by his parents Dennis and Meryl CORRIVEAU, his brother Peter, brothers-in-law Barry McLEOD, Bernard FLANAGAN, sister-in-law Jo-Ann HARTMAN, niece Lisa CORRIVEAU and nephew Michael HARTMAN. HAHN, Carl Jacob
Died Thursday, December 14, 2006 at Wildwood Care Centre, Saint Marys. Born October 15, 1911 in Hanover, Ontario. At an early age he moved to Elmira with his parents the late George and Emma HAHN. In 1953, he and his family moved to Saint Marys, Peel St. South. Survived by his wife Ruth, sons Jamie and his wife Joan of Saint Marys, Marcus and his wife Andria of London. Proud grandfather of 5 grandchildren Aynslie of Barrie, Johnathan and his friend Cassandra of Saint Marys, Andrew of Windsor, Emily and Adam of London. Dear sister Helen RAU of Kitchener and brother Arthur of Elmira. Lovingly remembered by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents, Carl is predeceased by two sisters-in-law Margaret and Norma HAHN. Family and Friends will be received at the Andrew L. Hodges Funeral Home, 47 Wellington St. South, Saint Marys on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. The Royal Canadian Legion Saint Marys Branch #236 service on Sunday at 1: 30 p.m. The Funeral Service will be conducted at Saint Peter's Ev. Lutheran Church, 115 Cambria Street, Stratford on Monday, December 18, 2006 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Timothy TEUSCHER officiating. Refreshments in the Church Hall immediately following the service. Interment following the reception in Saint Marys Cemetery. At home on Tuesday, January 24th, 2006; at the age of 87. Beloved husband of Thelma (ne McKAY.) Survived by his sister Mrs. L. WOLF of Oshawa and his sister-in-law Beulah McKAY of Orillia. He will be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. The late Mr. Luther RAU will rest at the Mundell Funeral Home, 79 West St. N., Orillia on Friday, January 27th from 11 a.m. until time of Funeral Service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Cremation to follow.
