FLETCHER, Elizabeth Ruth (née PAXTON) (1933-2006)
We are greatly saddened by the passing of our beloved wife and mother, Elizabeth (Betty) FLETCHER. Betty was born April 9, 1933 to Lucy and Thomas PAXTON in the little town of Oak River, Manitoba. She is survived by brother, Jack PAXTON of Brandon, Manitoba and sisters, Charlotte OLSON of Saskatoon and Sue TAILOR/TAYLOR of Edmonton. Betty was raised a farm girl but went off to the University of Manitoba to become a Home Economist. It was there she met Gerald (Jerry) FLETCHER. They were married in 1954 and started a life long odyssey which took them to California, Colorado and Indonesia for 30 years. Betty was a friend to all, her infectious laugh will be sorely missed. Betty is survived by her husband of 52 years daughter, Cindy FLOOD (Clint) and their three children, Leeann, Kayla and Cameron of Sidney, British Columbia; and son, Gregory and Anita with their three children, Kyle, Catherine and Lisa who reside in Jakarta, Indonesia. A Memorial Service was held at Saint_John's United Church, 10990 West Saanich Road on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 1: 30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you send a donation to The Kidney Foundation of Canada, Suite 320 - 1600 West Sixth Avenue, Vancouver, British Columbia V6J 1R3
