PAKKALA, Annikki Liisi (née JAKONEN)
On Thursday, January 5, 2006, slept away peacefully to join her beloved husband Teuvo, sister Terttu and brother Aimo. Held closely to the hearts of her family Veikko, Bert and Marylou KALLIO, Vuokko JAKONEN (Finland) and her dedicated friend Liisa LEPISTO. True to her wishes, a private cremation will occur. If desired, donations in her memory can be made to the Finnish Agricola Lutheran Church, Toronto. "Nuku Hyvin Rakas Annikki"

PAKOZDI, Lydia
Peacefully on Sunday, September 10, 2006 at the Atrium Villa Hamilton, in her 84th year. Predeceased by her dear husband Theodore (2004). Beloved mother of George (Kathy) and Ted (Judy). Loving grandmother of Michele, Jonathan, George and Christina. Lydia was devoted to her family and took great joy in her grandchildren. She survived the Second World War, Post-War Communism and the Hungarian Revolution and became a proud Canadian citizen, grateful for the opportunities this country gave her family. Special thanks to Margaret COULTER and staff at the Atrium Villa for their exemplary care. Visitation will be held Sunday, September 17 from 2-5 p.m. Swackhamer, Blachford and Wray Funeral Home, 1341 Main Street West (opposite McMaster). A Private Funeral Service will be held at a later date. In Lydia's memory, donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
