salesperson for Acheson Colloids Company for 23 years. He was
highly regarded by his fellow employees and customers, and will
be sadly missed. The family will receive Friends at the "Thorpe
Brothers' Funeral Home and Chapel", 96 West Street on Thursday
and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., with Parish Prayers
on Friday at 3: 30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial from St. Basil's
Roman Catholic Church, 50 Palace Street on Saturday March 25,
2006 at 11 a.m., followed by Interment at Saint_Joseph's Cemetery.

Mourners remember boy who died protecting family

Brantford -- Family, Friends and community members gathered at
a church yesterday to celebrate the life of Jared
OSIDACZ, an
eight-year-old boy stabbed to death by his father. Jared was
killed by Andrew
OSIDACZ in a multiple stabbing at a Brantford
townhouse last Saturday.
Mr. OSIDACZ, 41, was shot and killed in a confrontation with
police. His girlfriend, Paula
FERREL, and her eight-year-old
daughter are in hospital with serious injuries.
The province's Special Investigations Unit is investigating the
circumstances surrounding the shooting of Mr.
OSIDACZ.
At the funeral, Jared was remembered as a loving son and a hero,
who the family said died protecting Ms.
FERREL and her daughter.
