Our mother and friend, passed away May 10, 2006, just five days
shy of her 90th birthday. Ruth will be fondly remembered as an
adventurous soul with a generous smile. She was a traveler at
heart and she took every opportunity to do so. Ruth loved to
garden, and was especially fond of roses. She loved animals,
and always had dogs and cats in her household. Ruth has four

World War, he was employed at Maple Dairy, Oxford Regional Centre
and Canada Post. He was a member of the Downs Golf Club, Seniors
Curling Club, the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 55, and Central
United Church. Heartfelt thanks to the medical staff on the 4th floor
of Woodstock General Hospital and our wonderful Friends. Friends
will be received at the Smith-LeRoy Funeral Home, 69 Wellington
Street North, Woodstock Friday, October 20, 2006, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
A family service will be held, followed by cremation and interment

PERRY, in his 45th year, died of cancer on Wednesday,
October 4, in Parry Sound, Ontario, surrounded by his family
and cherished Friends. David was the eldest

David was
a much-loved and respected teacher at Rosseau Lake College. No
academic or physical challenge was beyond him. He was a graduate
of Lakefield College School, York University and Georgian College
(Marine Engineering). David was a former captain of the brigantines
Sail Training Vessel Playfair and Pathfinder, to mention just
one of his many skills and achievements. At David's request,
a celebration of his life will take place at Rosseau Lake College,
a school he loved deeply. This will be held on Sunday October 22nd,
commencing at 11: 00 a.m. All are invited. A room will be dedicated
to David's memory in the school's new academic building to be
constructed early next year. Friends wishing to remember David
with a contribution may send it (marked 'Perry Memorial') to
Rosseau Lake College, Rosseau, Ontario, P0C 1J0. All donations
will be gratefully acknowledged by the College and by the family.
