HUX, Arthur " Art" Christian
Of Blenheim, passed away Saturday March 18, 2006 at London Health Sciences, University Campus. He was born in Rodney Township 86 years ago to the late Barbara (BRAUN) HUX and Jacob HUX. Art is survived by his loving wife of 56 years Norma (ZOLLER) HUX of Blenheim. Surviving are his children Margaret HUX and her husband Bob NIVEN of Hamilton, Barbara HUX and her husband Clive BAUGH of Hamilton, Dan HUX and his finance Barbara ELLERY of Midland, Robert HUX of Montreal and Bill HUX of London. Missing their grandfather are Michael, Laurel, Gillian, Collin an Dee Jay. Also surviving are foster daughters Ethel COLLINS, Marie BABINCAU and her husband Roger and Sandy COONS. Art is predeceased by his sisters Anna, Mary, Freda and Edith, along with brothers Martin, John and Arnold. The HUX family will receive Friends for visitation at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home, 60 Stanley Street, Blenheim, on Monday March 20, 2006 from 2: 00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. A Funeral Service will be held at the Blenheim Community Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. with the Rev. Bruce COOK officiating. Interment will follow in Churchville Cemetery, Rodney. Friends wising to make a memorial donation in memory of Art are asked to consider either the Stroke Recovery Association or the Blenheim United Church Memorial Fund. At his home on Wednesday, June 28th, 2006, Frank DOHERTY of Port Albert in his 75th year. Loving husband of Isabelle (NIVENS) DOHERTY. Albert, Laurie and Mike DONELLY of Goderich, Sharon and Greg LA PAINE of London, Shawn and Priscilla DOHERTY of Toronto, Mary Lynn and David WEAVER of Goderich, Steve and Rachelle DOHERTY of Goderich and the late Peter DOHERTY. Peacefully at her home with her loving family by her side, on Friday, November 3rd, 2006 after a courageous battle with cancer, Barbara (McDONALD) McCLINCHEY of London in her 71st year. Beloved wife of William "Bill" McCLINCHEY. Devoted mother of Derrick McCLINCHEY and his wife Miriam of London; Debbie GILES and her husband Gord ROSS of Lambeth; and Jeff McCLINCHEY and his wife Jeanette of London. Loving sister of Thelma NIVENS and her husband Earl of Goderich; Shirley BEECH of Kitchener; George McDONALD and his wife Dorothy of Wiarton; Bruce McDONALD and his wife Nora of Vegreville, Alberta; and Matt McDONALD of Prince George, British Columbia. Predeceased by her parents Robert and Barbara McDONALD; her sister Lillian Patterson and her brother-in-law Carl Beech. Also loved by her grandchildren Caitlin, Ashley, Tanner, Tyler, Jeff, Adam, Paul and Jonathan. Barb will be greatly missed by all those who had the great pleasure of having her touch their lives. Special thanks to the staff of Community Care Access Centre. Cremation has taken place. Friends will be received by the family from 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday at the A. Millard George Funeral Home, 60 Ridout Street South, London where a memorial service will be conducted in the chapel on Wednesday, November 8th, 2006 at 11: 00 a.m. with Reverend Thomas D. Peacefully, on Saturday, February 11, 2006 in Huntsville, Ontario, in her 90th year. Born in Toronto on October 26, 1916. Beloved wife of the late Fielden Cruso (Bunny) NIVIN who predeceased her in 1994. Loving mother of Honor Garland NIVIN and Cynthia Cruso NIVIN (Gavan BYRNE.) Dear sister of Dr. George D. GARLAND of Huntsville. Predeceased by her sister Betty, and brother Gerald N. GARLAND. Dearest " Nana" to Tanja Anne DJURDJEVIC (Moscow) and Emily Sarah VESS (Cincinatti.) Fondly remembered by her niece Dr. Mary Garland KRUYS (Rob) and her nephews Nicholas GARLAND and G. David GARLAND (Kathleen.) Jean was a graduate of Havergal College, a camper at Glen Bernard Camp in Sundridge, Ontario, a life member of the Badminton and Racquet Club of Toronto, and served in the Red Cross Transport Corps. in Toronto during World War 2. A family service was held in Huntsville on Wed. February 15, 2006. Internment to follow at St. Peter's Anglican Church in Cobourg, Ontario. The family wishes to thank the staff at Muskoka Landing for their care during this past year. Special thanks are sent to her private caregivers in Huntsville, Maggie WEST and Ruth BRENNER, for their dedication and compassion. Loving father of Dwight and Marion COWAN of Guelph; George and Christine COWAN of London and Chris and Barb COWAN of R.R.#1, Auburn. Cherished grandfather of Sherri, Wendi, Tim, Jeff and Julie. Also loved by five great-grandchildren Kayla, Michael, Ashley, Austin and Ryan. NIVINS, Beatrice Margaret (née HAYES)
Of Nile passed away peacefully at Alexandra Marine and General Hospital on Friday April 7, 2006 in her 71st year. Beatrice was born on July 17th, 1935 in Kincardine, daughter of the late William E. and Charlotte E. (BRADLEY) HAYES. She leaves behind her husband of 50 years who she cherished dearly. Beatrice farmed with her husband Alex in West Wawanosh Twp., since their marriage until she passed. Beatrice is survived by her 6 children Jim (Sharon) of Ashfield, Sandra (John) of Mitchell, Ralph (Cheryl) of Dungannon, Alice (Cam) YUILL of Belgrave, Gerald (Evelyn) of Mississauga and Wayne (Krista) of Caledon. Beatrice will be sadly missed by her 12 beautiful grandchildren Camerra, David, Claren, Matthew, Janine, Rachel, Jerome, Candace, Conner and Colleen. There are 8 surviving brothers and sisters Earl, Samuel (Jean), James (Marion), Burton (Judy), Marie WONCH, Alvery (Marjorie) and Harold (Pat), several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers Nathaneal, William John, Charles, George, Nelson and sisters Agnes, Bessie and Alice.
